A while ago I created a blind test of the official branded Sontec EQ plug-in by Make Believe / Metric Halo and a hardware piece over at The Panic Room YouTube channel.

At the time of this reveal…
88% preferred A, which is the plug-in run through the same AD/DA converters as the hardware.

12% preferred B, which is the hardware EQ.

0% preferred C, which is the plug-in with no converter round trip (bounced straight in the box).

$299 vs $20.000.
