It is Friday, Majestic people and you know what that means. Most excellent new release news! 🔥

Back in August, we let `Talisman´fly; the first single from the self-titled, second album by Göteborg's Homegrown. A second single, “Mylingen” has since erupted and today, we´re back to announce the full album´s release from our resident stoney, triprock-prog masters! We weren´t kidding when we said this band had material flowing for days, wanting to release in rapid fire, and as promised, following the brilliant `Himalayaz´ from 2024, we are pleased to bring you their self titled masterpiece,`Homegrown.´ This is a hedonistically heady, heavy psych rocking jam bomb of dreams, and it officially drops (digitally only at first) on Friday, December 5th.

Homegrown´s potent strain of guitar-based 60´s and 70´s style grit continues to expand over ten tracks of soaring psychedelic prog at its purest. The listener is transported through suitably trippy atmospherics, thick and swinging grooviness, funky wah and blazing brass (yes horns) strings, exotic percussion complete with blessed bongo bashing and the ever present bounding bass. Through a winding, subterranean tunnel, maybe even at the behest of a little, talking rabbit with wide lapels we traipse, to a realm where glorious, psychotropic freak-outs reign supreme. From the first strains of track one, `Homegrown´ wastes no time in blasting off on a wondrously winding wander through the stoney shire of riffingdom.

The self-titled ´Homegrown´ is literally primordial ooze from the valley of riff taking us back to a time more technicoloured than Joseph's dream coat and make no mistake, this is no rose coloured pastiche. It's heavy, and heady, and melodically meticulous, plus all the flower power you can handle without being cliché. These cats aren´t peddling snake oil, this is the real deal and their energy is where it's at and that's a fact. Get hip to a heroic dose of Homegrown! Side note, if you ever have the chance to see these lads shred it live, DO SO. It's an experience in vibes few can pull off with this level of fire and authenticity.
