Last week, we previewed Elton John & Brandi Carlile’s powerful new album, Who Believes In Angels?.

The album was written in just 20 days at Sunset Sound Studios with longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin and producer Andrew Watt. In the 1950s to the 1970s, some of the greatest African-American jazz musicians found sanctuary in Scandinavia and started families. "LEGACY" delves into their children's journey, as they navigate the quest for identity by using their fathers' music as a bridge to connect with their heritage and discover themselves.

The film explores complex family dynamics, racism and highlighting the enduring jazz legacy across generation. It uncovers the secrets behind the Swedish Music Wonder - how the influence of some of the world’s greatest jazz musicians helped shape a small Nordic nation into a powerhouse of global music. This documentary brings up how that crucial piece of the puzzle paved the way for Swedish artists and producers to rise to international acclaim, redefining the sound of modern music.

The soundtrack for the documentary was recorded and mixed in Dolby Atmos at IMRSV. Written and produced by Daniel Gunnarsson & David Stenmarck. We're proud to have been part of capturing this chapter of Nordic jazz history.
