Running Progress Productions for 20 years now. The first release came 20th October 2004. And the company was founded in 20 April 2024. There are a few things im really proud of. One of them is not giving up. Even though many times like most of us you do get the thought of "what the f**k" am i doing. Sometimes working with bands that dont really understand things, sometimes i dont understand things. But it the end. The idea of Progress was to build something. I am not saying that i personally hold any supercredits for doing this. I have said many times "It is the bands that do the label, NOT the way around". I can still stick to that to this day. When i started the label i had two sources of inspiration. One was Cold Meat Industry and the second one Ant.Zen. These are up-to-this-day my source of inspiration. Thank you Stefan Alt and Roger Karmanik.

One milestone was putting together the Progress Productions 20 Years compilation. A 2CD special with 27! tracks. All the bands showing a wide spectrum of alternative music from synthpop to industrial to postpunk. I really want to thank YOU all the bands for being the absolute best of what you are. True gems.

WHAT A CELEBRATION we had trhis weekend. Celebrating the first 20 years of Progress at Progress Productions - 20 Years Festival - 2004/2024 was nothing less than amazing. A memory we will live on for a long time. I can not THANK the amazing people and bands who made this possible. The audience, the bands, the help from friends. Truly. There are no words for this!

Progress Productions celebrate 20 years of Progress with the preorder of three new releases. The massive 2CD compilation "20 Years Of Progress", our classic Progress act System returns with a brand new album "Autonomous Systems" (the first new album since 2011) and finally the release of a true classic Cosmic Overdose "Final Koko" for the first time on CD and remastered by Hans Olsson at Svenska Grammofonstudion.

We at Progress Productions are sad to inform the passing of Andreas Catjar-Danielsson of ABU NEIN that passed away this morning after losing his fight over cancer. We lost not only an artist but a kind and fantastic person. Our thoughts go to Andreas family and close ones and to the whole ABU NEIN family. He will always be with us through his music forever and ever ❤

Out today on Progress Productions // Lucifer's Aid "State Trooper EP" (PROCD131) a special limited edition 3" CD where mastermind Calle Nilsson pay tribute to Bruce Springsteen covering three tracks of the classic album "Nebraska".

Calle Nilsson: Nebraska may seem to be the overall opposite of my music. But there is a darkness and monotonous sound in both Lucifer's Aid and Bruce Springsteen's songs. And especially on his album Nebraska. The sound and the expression on that album have always fascinated me.
Nebraska was released in 1982 and it was recorded at a four channel porta studio. The strength of the album is precisely the three chords and the lyrics that sit deep with the listener. There are songs about hopelessness, loneliness, longing and sometimes a bit of hope.

I have always had a great admiration for Bruce Springsteen's music and have long thought about making interpretations of his music. The album Nebraska is very close to me. It was not the first record I heard from Springsteen but it was the one that touched me the most. And it has followed me since my early teens.

With this EP I wanted to put my personal touch on Bruce Springsteen's songs. But at the same time not lose the nerve that are in the original songs.

The new single "Remain the Same" is a song about pushing forward, even as physical and mental conditions gradually worsen each day. In the production and arrangement, we aimed for a danceable yet melancholic electronic sound that emphasizes the message of the lyrics.

Finally! We are able to share our latest signing swedish Vintage Voltage on Progress Productions with you. Their debutsingle "I Hate to Love You" is out now on all digital platforms around the world. The electronic duo keeps it simple and honest: Chris Leaf's haunting vocals are complemented by Pete Branch's vintage machines, crafting a sound that respects its roots in a dark and emotional electronic soundscape. So here we are.... April 20th 2024. The 20 years birthday of Progress Productions. It feels really strange that it´s past 2 decades already. But with over 200+ releases on different formats over the years it's also a victory for the alternative scene that we mananged stay here as long as we have which would not have been possible without all of YOU people that has supported us during all the years. Im extremlly greatful for your support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Make sure that you grab your ticket to our festival which will be on the 16th of November here in Gothenburg.
