This wednesday, I return to Musicians Institute to give a full day masterclass on drum tuning/recording/production/mixing. I’m bringing special guests Darby Todd and Marks who are in town for NAMM, and I know Jacob Bell is showing up to help me out.

The second session for 2025 was Simen Sandnes playing drums for the coming Contrast Parity album. And holy s**t, did he play. We also had Jonas Ekdahl with us for various reasons, as he’s more and more becoming a part of Top Floor Studios. Good times!

What a year! Been working with amazing artists both home and in many different places in the world. Been traveling and seeing friends and enjoying my life to the fullest, again. Goodbye 2024, you were awesome. Besides the passing of Zappa. Today I had the pleasure of having him immortalized on my arm, and it feels like the perfect way to end the year. 2025 kicks off with three sessions at home, before an extended 4-city work trip to the US. I’m grateful for what I have and for what’s to come.

Laying down final touches on my edit and mix prep work on my files for Devin Townsend’s upcoming ”The Moth” album that we recorded a month ago. Holy god it sounds good. This album will melt faces, literally.

6 years in a row! Might impressive, Toontrack! I'm very honoured to have been the producer behind not one, not two, but THREE drum libraries for Superior Drummer 3 and EZDrummer3. First the Duality I and II, with Alex Landenburg on the kit, and later on the mighty Big Stage, with Darby Todd.

For the sixth year in a row, Superior Drummer 3 won its category in the KVR Readers’ Choice Awards. Thank you, KVR readers!

As I’m still in my studio finishing up tracks for Devin Townsend’s coming ”The Moth” album, Larry The Bear keeps joining Devin on stage on his UK tour. Thanks Chris Edrich for the vid!

Had a lot of fun with Philip Näslund and Gibson Guitars when we made this video for their new guitar model. Amazing playing and such a pretty instrument.

I sure as hell wasn’t playing drums like this at age 17! Been a great first week with Hostilia and these two talented and hardworking brothers. Also those vintage Tama Granstars sound sweeeeeeet! I love working with different instruments and setting different sounds for different productions. Never gets boring!
