21 years ago, I had the incredible experience of recording my friend Anders Nyberg’s solo album in his cabin by a lake in the woods of Värmland. Today, I’m revisiting it in remastering it and it’s pure joy. Filled to the brim with unexpected nuggets, just like Anders’ art.
Guest appearance on drums by Björn Frykkund from Freak Kitchen, by the way. Good times from start to finish.
Mastering a warm embrace of an album for @bandet_orkan, beautifully mixed by @kallelilja at @welfaresounds. I hope your Monday is at least as inspiring as mine.
Mixing proper desert riffage for Deaf Blokes.
Today is @stay_dead_band riff enhancement day. Black coffee, good times.
Reamping @mattpike1972’s leads for @stay_dead_band.
Thunder in the air means recording thunder toms. I hope your Saturday also involves creative hitting of stuff.
Mixing and mastering Circle of Nerves, a fine Wednesday indeed.
Have a great day out there, fellow skin bags.

Friday mastering bonanza. Circle of Nerves delivers all the grit.
A while back, @thegregkennelty told me he was starting a label, re-releasing old school death metal on cassette and asked if I was interested in mastering them. Being a part of a project like that was and is a no brainer and now the first music is finally out. Thanks for the trust, Greg. This is killer.

Embalmer Records is proud to announce its first release – the 1993 demo Buried Alive by Know Death. Buried Alive is out on May 31 and you can stream the first single “Judgment Day” at our Link in Bio.
The reissue consists of all four songs from the original demo plus an unreleased show named Pick Your Knows from 1992. The concept for Pick Your Knows was simple enough – Know Death played all their songs, and the crowd in turn would vote on the songs they wanted to see get recorded for the demo. Hence the name of the show, Pick Your Knows.
The original Buried Alive demo was recorded, mixed, and produced at Sabella Recording Studios in Roslyn Heights, NY by Know Death, Jim Sabella, and Ken Gioia. The demo was also engineered by Know Death, Sabella, and Gioia. This reissue features newly-remastered audio by Esben Willems of Studio Berserk in Gothenburg, Sweden, and a new layout by Joseph Spiller.
This is what my coffee mug sees when I’m mastering Hazarax for Embalmer Records. Old school death metal at its finest.
