We are proud to participate in this year’s Ram Film Festival with our short documentary, “Green Shadow” The festival will be held in the Italian city of Rovereto, from October 4th to 8th, 2023.

About the Film:
The film explores the concept of “Green Shadow” a Sudanese term that refers to an individual who serves as the pillar and support for their family and community in challenging times. The film focuses on the tea sellers in Sudan, who embody the notion of “Dhil Akhdar” through their resilience and their role in providing for their families and the larger community.

About the Festival:
The Ram Film Festival is an annual event organized under the patronage of the Italian Civic Museums Foundation. It specializes in showcasing works related to the fields of archaeology and both tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

Annual Focus:
This year’s festival theme is “A Look at the Climate,” aimed at raising awareness of the challenges imposed by climate change on the preservation and conservation of global cultural and historical sites.

We invite you to attend this cinematic presentation that expresses a part of the cultural and human heritage of Sudan.

نفتخر بأن نشارك هذا العام في مهرجان رام للأفلام بالفيلم الوثائقي القصير “ضل اخدر”. ستُقام فعاليات المهرجان في مدينة روفيريتو الإيطالية، من الرابع حتى الثامن من شهر أكتوبر لعام 2023.

حول الفيلم:
يتناول العمل فكرة “ضل اخدر”، المصطلح السوداني الذي يدل على الفرد الذي يكون السند والدعامة لأسرته ولمجتمعه في الظروف العصيبة. يركز الفيلم على بائعات الشاي في السودان، اللاتي تجسدن مفهوم “ضل اخدر” من خلال تفردهن بصمود واحتماء أسرهن والمجتمع ككل.

حول المهرجان:
ينظم مهرجان رام للأفلام بصفة سنوية تحت رعاية مؤسسة المتاحف المدني الإيطالية، ويتخصص في استعراض الأعمال التي تتناول علوم الآثار والتراث الثقافي، سواء المادي أو غير المادي.

التركيز السنوي:
تتركز فعاليات النسخة الحالية من المهرجان على “نظرة إلى المناخ”، بهدف زيادة الوعي بالتحديات التي يفرضها التغير المناخي على حفظ وصون المواقع الثقافية والأثرية.
