🔸 Climate & Change is long-term photography workshop, which will take place between May and September 2021 where participants shall develop a personal visual work about Climate & Change.
🔸 About the Workshop:
The definition of the workshops subject has a wide variation and interpretation. It can concern climate change as well as social change or connect both with each other. It can be understood in a positive or a negative sense. Climate change threatens people with food insecurity, water scarcity, extreme heat, economic losses, and displacement.
Social change on the other hand may positively result in the improvement of human and social conditions. Such change can occur at many levels, including individuals, families or communities.
🔸 Process of the Workshop:
The meetings to discuss the photographs as well as the development of the photo-stories will take place online as well as physical in-person meetings in Khartoum. Ala Kheir will lead the meetings in Khartoum, the online meetings will be conducted by André Luetzen together with Ala Kheir in a rhythm of ten days. Each participant should be able to show new images at the meetings.

📌 Open to: young and upcoming photographers from Sudan and living in Sudan.
📌 In order to be considered eligible to apply, you must fulfill all of the following criteria:
• Photographers should have a minimum of one to two years experience with professional photography
• The workshop will be conducted in English.
• Participants must have access to a computer, internet access, able to attend online classes
• Participants should be available to attend each meeting and committed to work on assignments for the whole duration of the workshop
• Owning a Dslr/Mirrorless camera is preferred
• Duration: May – September 2021
