Art reveal for "When the Cat's Away". I thought the title was an allusion to Hamlet but it's actually one of the Henrys (too many Henrys if you ask me, Bill). I interpret the line to refer to an absence of authority or supervision which will hopefully make sense when you hear the song. Even I find this post tedious and pedantic so I'll sign off after reminding you it's available on Bandcamp tomorrow (Friday July 12, 2024)

This has to be it for a while for sm for me for obvious reasons. It was hard enough to return, and then face exactly the same thing that ran me off sm in the first place, so I'm not posting on these like a normal person anymore after recent events.

I am genuinely ashamed of my country that I can't even discuss a media figure or any other citizen of this country without fear of reprisal. Everyone knows the nightmarish feeling I've experienced and what ever you think of me I had equal right to say everything I did as my worst detractors.

20 years of being told to not criticize the government (because everything is the government here) is unacceptable. I want o be clear I have begun the process of transferring to ascap because of this and many many more incidents like it since I lost the rights to the first songs I wrote to a notorious Canadian girfter.

This fitted up every horrible emotion in my life, because at the end of the day I was just trying to express myself and no citizen of a country should ever feel like I did these last weeks for something the is their inherent right.

I will continue to post on threads as myself until any other incident like this happens, fair warning.

I am genuinely revolted that is that come to this, and this has been the problem we should have been discussing instead of trying to figure out if I'm Lester Freeman or Louise Mensch.

Forgive me if I'm a little cool on cannada day this year.
