Island Sun Newspaper Limited is a privately owned daily newspaper in the Solomon Islands. Island Sun launched its first issue on Friday 6th October 2006. It began as a weekly newspaper before going twice a week in early 2007 and later publishing three times a week by end of the same year. In 2008, Island Sun was publishing five a days a week and later added the Saturday issue in June 2014. Plans are already underway to add a Sunday issue anytime soon.
