Hadith about 'Umrah in Ramadan

Al-Bukhari (1782) and Muslim (1256) narrated that Ibn
'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to a woman from among the Ansar - Ibn 'Abbas mentioned her name but I forgot it -
"What kept you from performing Hajj with us?" She said:
We only have two camels and the father of her son and her son had gone for Hajj on one camel, and he left us the other camel so that we could carry water on it. He said:
"When Ramadan comes, go for 'Umrah, for 'Umrah in (that month) is equivalent to Hajj or Hajj with me.”

Umrah Badal will be done by the university students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The cost will cover their Transportation, Accomodations, Food.

Definition:

Umrah Badal [also known as Badal Umrah] is when someone gets an Umrah performed on his or her behalf by another person. Umrah Badal may be performed for another due to an ongoing illness for which there is no hope of a cure, or because of old age, or because the person has already passed away.

Ruling:

Permissible to perform according to all four major schools of thought / madhab. Umrah Badals should be performed as many times as possible for a person.

Proof of Permissibility of Badal Umrah:

Laqit bin `Amir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said: “My father is a very old man and does not have strength to perform Hajj (pilgrimage) or `Umrah or to undertake the journey.” Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Perform Hajj and `Umrah on behalf of your father.” –ABU DAWUD & AT-TIRMIDHI
