Here is our review of David Vance Photographer two new books Beauties & Xposed.

David Vance returns with two books that on their own are fantastic works of art, but together interconnect artistically and thematically. Many of you will jump into Xposed with curious abandon. That curiosity is quickly rewarded by turning the first page and seeing, in a perfect world, what should have been the true cover of the book. From the first mouthwatering taste the realization comes through that this book is not holding back and will continue to captivate your imagination and fantasies. It gives you what you want and more than you expect. The images are tempting, playful, and seductive. You feel you’re being invited to join in, or satiate your voyeuristic impulses. As you caress your way through the pages there’s a satisfying sense of intimacy. Something that is sadly lacking in many modern erotic photographs. It takes the skill of someone like David to elicit a feeling of comfort and confidence from a model. That level of talent continues in Beauties.
Beauties opens with an image that would fit comfortably in Xposed and urges you to go deeper. There are plenty more full frontal images to savor, but Beauties shifts to a more tender tone. The captivatingly handsome men make your heart flutter like a teenager flipping through Tigerbeat magazine looking at heartthrobs. It’s seductive without trying too hard, or feeling distant. There’s a feeling of intimacy with the models that’s different from Xposed. This is foreplay, or postcoital tenderness.
Xposed and Beauties are a triumph of art. They compliment, balance, and intertwine with each other. You’ll go back and forth, or have them both opened at the same time if you’re greedy. There’s a timelessness to the images and indeed some of them aren’t new. A few of the models have since retired, but you’d never know that from how expertly David has composed his work. I also want to point out the size of the books.. They’re 9”x12” (23cm x 30.5cm) which sounds large, but are actually quite comfortable. A perfect fit for the images and wherever you keep your books.
