The fair will be hosted in the emblematic Palau Pedralbes, a majestic 17th-century building with seven prestigious rooms surrounded by beautiful gardens. Among the highlights are the library, illuminated by natural light that brings out the warmth of the antique wood to exhibit the art craft pieces.

Via “I was always impressed by the explosion of different hair styles in the late 70s, with novel colours and extraordinary structures formed around the head. I like that necklaces and hair are used to frame the face. The spikes of hair in my pieces are relaxed rather than stiff, and create a ‘shadow’ or echo of the spikes that stood upright on the head.” – CAROLINE BROADHEAD
The exhibition PINK & PUNK opens on Thursday 23d of January.
PINK & PUNK is an explosion of edgy interpretations, wild ideas, humorous figures, and irresistible creations. The exhibition features unexpected, bold pieces that push boundaries.
Twelve fearless artists from diverse backgrounds are invited to create and show this unique, fun and slightly mad collection, raising questions and offering answers on a variety of subjects.

Material: Silver, Brass, Sardinian Red Coral, Vintage Moroccan Amber, Turkish Glass Bead
Technique: Wax Craving, Patina Polished

The eye of the Nakba necklace is inspired by the historic event of catastrophic ethnic cleansing of Palestinians through their violent displacement and dispossession of land and property along with the destruction of their society and the suppression of their culture, identity, political rights, and national aspirations. The jewelry work reflects the ongoing Gaza war and expresses the pain, anger, and distress of the people who witnessed the violence, oppression, and suffering.

"Cred că mă încadrez în acel tip de persoană care definește luxul din perspectiva timpului de calitate pe care ți-l aloci ție, familiei sau celor foarte dragi și apropiați. Consider că a avea astăzi liniște și plăcerea de a te putea ocupa de ceea ce sufletul și inima ta cer este un lux în adevăratul sens al cuvântului. Este esențial să pot face ceea ce îmi place, să fiu acolo unde vreau eu, nu unde altcineva decide pentru mine. Consider că e nevoie de o schimbare de perspectivă, iar ideea de lux trebuie scoasă din zona materialistă și dusă într-o zonă de experiență, de bucurie vie, de plăcere și de autenticitate. Din această perspectivă a autenticității și a creației, consider că exact în acest domeniu al bijuteriei, cea de autor este luxul suprem. Și spun asta pentru că este o investiție în artă, însă un tip de artă care este mereu în contact cu tine, cu corpul tău. Ea este un talisman și un punct de plecare a unor conversații surprinzătoare."
