The Premium+ plan, priced at about $16 per month, includes all the tools and features offered by the platform, minus the ads, the company said in a post on the platform.

It will, however, be available for users accessing the platform through a web browser for now, it added. The basic tier is priced at $3 per month but is not ad-free.

X is also planning to bundle video and audio calling for some users, in a push to turn the platform into an everything app.

Musk has been exploring several options to extensively monetize the social media platform, which he acquired for $44 billion in October 2022.

Rome-Pompeii train to launch on 16 July.
Italy is to launch a direct train service between Rome and Pompeii from 16 July, culture minister Gennaro Sangiuliano said on Sunday.

The minister, speaking to veteran television journalist Bruno Vespa at the Forum in Masseria, confirmed that the train will take visitors direct from Rome to the Pompeii archaeological site.

The new service, first mentioned by Sangiuliano on Italian television in April, will eliminate the need to change trains as is currently the case for those travelling to Pompeii by train from the capital.

Passengers on the new train will be able to watch a video about the history of the ruined city and its excavations, Sangiuliano said, as well as being able to buy entrance tickets to the archaeological site while on board.

Sangiuliano also announced on Sunday that a new entry fee system for the Pantheon in Rome will take effect from 1 July.

6 Months After Joining Schengen, Croatia Is Already Witnessing Significant Tourism Growth the TotalCroatiaNews reports, the mention of the latest figures from the Tax Administration for the fiscalised turnover of applicable enterprises being on a good track further supports the positive outlook and expectations of the sector, SchengenVisainfo.com reports.

Fiscalised turnover refers to the revenue generated by businesses that must issue fiscal receipts for their transactions. These figures provide insights into the financial performance of enterprises operating in the tourism sector.

Accommodation Sector Registered Bill Payments Worth €171 Million During Last Month
In addition, the increase in bill payments for card and cash transactions shows a positive trend in Croatia. Compared to last month’s figures and the ones for the same month, 2022, there is a noticeable increase from less than €117 million euros to €171 million. This represents a growth rate of about 46 per cent.

Similarly, comparing the first five months of this year with the same period a year ago shows significant growth. Fiscalised turnover increased from €275 million to €403 million, again reflecting a growth rate of about 46 per cent.

However, it is important to consider that the increase in traffic and revenue is partially attributable to higher prices in 2023. The price increase is likely to contribute to the overall increase in the sector’s revenue.

Cafes, Restaurants & Other Hospitality Facilities Reported Growth in May 2023

In terms of turnover, the sector of hospitality also reported more than €290 million last month, which is nearly a 30 per cent increase compared to the turnover of around €224 million reported in the same month of 2022. The number of bills issued during this period saw a relatively modest increase of less than five per cent.

Looking at the cumulative figures for the year up to the end of May, restaurant owners had already reached approximately one billion euros in fiscalized turnover (€999 million). This represents a significant increase of 31 per cent compared to the same period last year. The recorded turnover growth was achieved with an 8.4 per cent increase in the number of bills issued.

The data suggest a positive start to the tourist season in Croatia, not only in the accommodation and hospitality sectors but also in related areas such as taxi services and Transportation. In the taxi services sector, the fiscalised traffic exceeded €12.3 million in May, which is a notable increase compared to the figures of 9.1 million euros in April and €8.5 million in March.

Moreover, based on a quick assessment by state statisticians, consumer prices in May increased by an average of 0.5 per cent monthly. On the other hand, the annual rate of inflation fell below eight per cent, the drop in energy prices by three per cent, while the category of food, beverages, and to***co is still with a double-digit annual growth of 13.5 per cent.

France says nuclear power is ‘non-negotiable’French nuclear power is “an absolute red line” and non-negotiable, Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said Thursday (8 June), following Franco-German disagreements over the role of nuclear energy in Europe.

Nuclear-reliant Paris has already irked Berlin by insisting on giving nuclear energy a starring role in European plans to produce more green technology in Europe.

“Nuclear power is an absolute red line for France, and France will not relinquish any of the competitive advantages linked to nuclear energy”, Le Maire insisted as he closed the annual conference of the French Electricity Union.

France’s 56 ageing reactors normally provide some 70% of France’s electricity needs.

“French nuclear power is non-negotiable and will never be negotiable. We will have to live with it, and we are convinced that it is not only in France’s interest, but also in the interest of the European continent”, he added.

Spat over EU’s renewable energy directive
Earlier, at the same meeting, German state secretary for economic affairs and climate action Stefan Wenzel acknowledged that France and Germany “often have different approaches in energy policy, especially concerning nuclear energy”

Germany “respects diverging choices for other fossil fuel energy sources by other member states as France that may similarly contribute to achieve climate neutrality,” he added.

However “what we cannot accept is when nuclear energy is defined as renewable, or low-carbon hydrogen is equated with green hydrogen”.

Agreement on the EU’s revised renewable energy directive was delayed last month as France requested further “guarantees” to limit the share of renewable hydrogen production for countries that already have significant amounts of low-carbon hydrogen derived from nuclear power.

“France defended throughout the negotiations the technological neutrality of the text, so that nuclear and renewables are not placed in competition” with each other, a French source told us at the time to justify the delay.

It is with tremendous disappointment that we have to announce today the cancellation of the Courage World Tour.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again. I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” – Celine xx…

Tickets purchased for the forty-two cancelled dates will be refunded via the original point of sale. For further ticket inquiries or options, ticketholders should reach out to their original point of purchase.

U.S. Issues Travel Advisory Update For The Dominican Republic The Dominican Republic is one of the most popular destinations to vacation to, especially for American travelers, and the U.S. State Department has just updated its travel advisory for the country.

Given its proximity to the U.S. mainland, it’s a no-brainer to check out this beautiful Caribbean destination.

It’s often at the top of travelers’ lists for a beach getaway due to its pristine beaches, blue waters, and immaculate resorts along the coastline.Unfortunately, there have been negative headlines that don’t paint a rosy picture of the Dominican Republic in recent years. This is primarily due to volatile political conflict situations and a rising crime rate. This week, the U.S. government provided a travel advisory update for the country’s current outlook.Exercise Increased Caution
