Moschino , The Style Merger, named after its founder Franco Moschino, Moschino has become one of the big players of the apparel industry. It started its journey in 1983 in Milan as an Italian fashion house. Today Moschino is one of the biggest luxury fashion brands in the world. Adele and Edoardo Fendi created the fashion house in Rome in 1925. From its inception, Fendi has been known for its luxury and opulence. The brand began by making leather goods, which they're still famous for today.

In 1965, Fendi welcomed Karl Lagerfeld to the brand. It was during Lagerfeld's tenure as creative director that the signature double "F" motif was created — which actually stands for Fun Furs, according to LVMH's brand book — and that idea came from Lagerfeld himself. While these days, many fashion houses, as well as InStyle, do not support the sale of fur, it was a hot commodity at the time. Lagerfeld pushed the brand forward into the fur market, making Fendi one of the most sought-after ateliers for fur goods. Rather than keeping fur simply for fur coats, Lagerfeld opted to use it for accessories, ready-to-wear designs, and anywhere else he could think of, making it more accessible to the brand's average customer, and giving fur a whole new way of existing.

Looking back at the start of his career, before he became a household name and the founder of a billion dollar business, Professor Jimmy Choo OBE says his has two important women to thank for his success. First, there’s his mother, who cleared out her savings so that her son could start his own footwear business in 1996. The other important figure Choo says helped him reach a wider audience is the late Princess Diana.
Jimmy Choo vowed to help other young people rise to the top after he was named an ambassador for the Diana Award charity. The charity was set up in 1999 following the death of Princess Diana. It recognises young people who demonstrate kindness, compassion and a desire to help others, and the charity also runs anti-bullying and mentoring programmes.

Cristóbal Balenciaga, founder of fashion house Balenciaga, wanted women of strong character to wear his designs. So devoted were his clients that one in particular, Countess Mona Bismarck, mourned the designer's retirement in 1968, by cloistering herself in her room for three days. This brand is known for setting trends rather than following them: Cristóbal pioneered the baby doll, tunic and waistless 'sack' dress while later Nicolas Ghesquière launched the Lariat handbag in 2001. Model Kate Moss was the first to carry it,ensuring that waiting lists for this 'IT' bag were off the Richter scale.
Christian Dior was in awe of rival Cristóbal Balenciaga and once said "Haute couture is like an orchestra, whose conductor is Balenciaga,” he once said. “We other couturiers are the musicians and we follow the directions he gives.”
