StaticVFX had the pleasure to be VFX house for this amazing project shot on film in Romania, delivering approximately 140 shots. The World to Come has 4 wins and 7 other nominations in film festivals, making it's debut last year at Venice Film Festival. We were engaged in the project from the very stages, working closely with the director, Arsia Production and Killer films. The feature is directed by Mona Fastvold and is starring Katherine Waterson, Vanessa Kirby and Casey Affleck. Show's VFX supervisor was our in-house Alin Dumitru. Remotely or with our masks on, early this year StaticVFX contributed with more 100 visual effects shots for The World to Come, having our co-founder Alin Dumitru as a visual effects supervisor for the project. Directed by Mona Fastvold, casting Casey Affleck, Katherine Waterston and Vanessa Kirby, The World to Come depicts the beautiful tale of two neighboring couples fighting hardship and isolation in mid-19th century. The film had its festival premiere at the 77th Venice International Film Festival winning two awards and another one at La Roche-sur-Yon International Film Festival. We're looking forward to the theatrical release in February 2021 and we appreciate everyone's support starting with Arsia Production, Killer Films and last but not least, Mona Fastvold.

We've been quiet for a while but the projects we've been working on the past year started to see the light of cinema. One of them is Malmkrog by Cristi Puiu. We had the pleasure to be part of this great film and bring in our visual effects skills for approximately 100 shots. Congratulations to Cristi Puiu for winning best director at Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival, Tudor Panduru for the incredible cinematography and everyone involved in this project.
