Szabi was born in Brașov, Romania began DJing in the 2000s under the name Soby. During this time, he was more influenced by hip hop and jazz music. In 2010 he adopted the stage name „Dj Szabi”, which is the diminutive for his name Szabolcs. Anyone would assume this vibrant disk jockey is only limited to electronic and dance tracks. But you’ll realize it’s much greater once you start listening to his music. Szabi`s music perfectly defines passion; It’s a clever and fluid combination of commercial electronic and progressive house, with a little bit of tech-house sprinkled into the formula. Szabi later found interest in computers, a hobby which has driven him deeper to computing graphical design, and musical programming. He initially had no musical background but was able to teach himself by watching YouTube tutorials based on musical production. He started producing his music on his laptop using FL Studio. In May 2023, with the help and feedback from his fans online, he began pursuing his music production career and slowly began posting his music to YouTube and Facebook.
