The Great Sphinx of Giza
Located on the Giza Plateau near the pyramids, it is one of the oldest and most famous statues in the world. The statue is carved from limestone and depicts a mythical creature with the head of a human, believed to represent King Khafre, and the body of a lion.
It is approximately 73 meters long and about 20 meters high. It was built during the Fourth Dynasty in the reign of King Khafre, around 2500 BCE.
The face of the Sphinx displays royal features and wears the traditional nemes headdress, but the statue later lost its nose, possibly due to natural erosion or deliberate damage in later periods. It is considered an engineering and artistic marvel and a timeless symbol of ancient Egyptian civilization.

1,800-YEAR-OLD AMULET REFERENCES JESUS CHRIST

In 2018, an amulet was discovered in a grave in Frankfurt, Germany.
The amulet was small—under 1.5 inches long—and the grave it was found in is believed to have been dug between AD 230–270 when Frankfurt was the Roman city Nida. Scientists have finally been able to read the fragile silver foil found in the amulet, and the results are incredible.

Using a state-of-the-art version of tomography, they analyzed each section and pieced together most of what the document stated and then painstakingly translated the ancient Latin into English. And here’s what it says:

(In the name?) of Saint Titus

Holy, holy, holy!

In the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God!

The Lord of the world resists [to the best of his ability?] all seizures

(?)/setbacks (?).

The God (?) grants entry to well-being

This means of salvation protects

the human being who surrenders himself to

the will

of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son,

since all knees bow before Jesus Christ

the heavenly,

the earthly and

the subterranean, and every tongue

confesses (Jesus Christ).

Just over two centuries after Jesus’ life and death, the gospel had made it all the way over the Alps into Germany! This new find is “perhaps the earliest known evidence of the spread of Christianity in what is today Germany.” Over the years, the science of archaeology has shone much light on the Bible and Christianity in history.

When reading that inscription, specifically the last section, Philippians 2:9–11 immediately comes to mind:

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

In "Critias," Plato wrote that the Temple of Poseidon in the lost city of Atlantis had a roof made of ivory "adorned with gold and silver and orichalcum, and the rest of the interior was lined with orichalcum." He also wrote about a pillar made of solid orichalcum in the center of the temple that was inscribed with the laws of Poseidon. Plato described orichalcum as second only to gold in value and explained that it was mined in Atlantis. But what was this mysterious metal, and did it actually exist?

While orichalcum may seem mythical due to its connection with the legend of Atlantis, experts today largely agree that it was a real alloy made of copper and zinc that was similar to brass. Still, when dozens of ingots of orichalcum were found in the wreckage of a ship off the coast of Sicily in 2015, believers in Atlantis were quick to suggest that it proved the existence of the sunken city.
