Hace 36 años, en 1988 en la ciudad de Warren (Míchigan), la policía detuvo a los 4 miembros de una banda, llamada según ellos..."The Morbid Angels" y a sus dos asistentes (uno de ellos Jon Deplachett de NECROVORE, al que puede verse detrás de la mesa de sonido) después de registrar su bus de gira y hallar 3 armas de fuego, una calavera humana, varios libros y parafernalia satánica y un Pitbull Terrier.
Fueron puestos en libertad bajo fianza al poco y pudieron continuar con el tour por USA antes de viajar a Florida para grabar Altars of Madness...

Is it too soon to announce something for 2025? When it’s as good as this I guess not!!!

Coming January 2025, to celebrate 5 years of Into It Records, all studio demos and the masterpiece album Prodigal Sun from Swedish progressive death metal pioneers AFFLICTED!!

Afflicted (Convulsion) probably has one of the biggest style changes ever. Started as rather primitive thrash they went on to super original death metal and ended up as full on heavy metal!!
Obviously the focus is on the middle part. In the overcrowded Swedish death metal scene from the early 90s this band stood out. They didn’t follow the usual Entombed/Dismember (left hand) path but did their own thing. Intricate riffing, brilliant drumming and the almost hysterical vocals of Joakim Bröms. After a whole series of demo, promos and EP’s this all came together on their groundbreaking debut album Prodigal Sun. Slightly underrated perhaps but a definite milestone in Swedish death metal!

The layout for the demos has been kept as close to the originals as possible. Prodigal Sun will come with a big panel j-card and a full body printed cassette. 4 absolute must have cassettes!!

Release is set for January 19th 2025.

Curiosa y triste coincidencia el día de ayer...
Nos dejaba Bernie Mardsen el día que se cumplían 40 años de la visita de Whitesnake a la Monumental de Barcelona como teloneros de Meat Loaf.
Aunque según creo, Bernie no vino pues acababa de dejar la banda.
R.I.P. Bernie Mardsen.

R.I.P. Matthias Limmer. Batería de los dos últimos albums que grabaron Massacra.

Friends, got some sad news: I have been informed that former Massacra drummer Matthias Limmer has passed away this past weekend. A close friend of his family is asking for help in getting photos or other media with Matthias when he was in the band. There of course, will be a ceremony for his family and friends to say their farewells and this would be a good thing to give them. If any of you has some material, please reach out. Thank you all.
