Love, Show and Breed Australian Shepherds & Briards in Portugal Enjoy our dogs! João & Niklas

SOUTHSEASIGHT Australian Shepherds & Briards is nestled within the beautiful Atlantic Coast of Portugal, 30 minutes South of Lisbon. We are João and Niklas living our dream in a 1.7 hectare farm, surrounded by a Natural Park and facing the Ocean. We both have an equine hobby background and always had dogs as the best companions so, the decision to be a part of the show & breed dogs community, came

naturally. We got our first two Australian Shepherd in 2016, as pets, and we got completely hooked to the breed. The Briard is a different story: we know the breed for a long time but somehow it is a very rare dog and we felt that, starting our show & breed program with the Australian Shepherds, would be the best moment to start a show & breed program with the Briards too, promoting these fantastic breeds. We are very pleased to share our passion for dogs and to introduce our Australian Shepherds & Briards.

We are over the moon! 🤩
Our beautiful Arya (Pharaoh x Kylie) was Best Junior of breed, BOB, 3rd BOG, and finally 🔥BIS Junior all breeds🔥 in Gibraltar at only 11 month old! Thank you Alexandra for handling her so beautifully 😍!

There is this special event once a year all Briard people look forward to - the most important breed speciality show:
🇫🇷 NATIONALE D’ÉLEVAGE in France 🇫🇷.
We are no exception, but this year was a first: we, for the first time, did show dogs bred by us and had them evaluated by breed specialists.
Both Arya and Aslan presented themselves with confidence and patience, taking the judgements with a stride.

🏆Aslan took Best Junior Fauve Male 🏆
and
🏆 Arya won Best Junior Female of the 🇫🇷 Nationale d’Élevage 2024 🏆

We are happy, thankful and proud to have received such confirmation of the quality of our dogs.
We are looking forward to their future! ❤️

It was lovely to meet old and new friends.
Special thanks go to our friends Sonya and Omar for sharing this adventure all the way.
We are already looking forward for 2025, to see you all again. 🤩

While Kylie is getting bigger by the days and turning towards the finish line, we are preparing the maternity for her and the sofa bed next to it for ourselves. We are working on a litter announcement, in the meantime here comes a little sneak preview on the father of the litter: CH BAREMBAK ALBUFERA AT CHARSON We fell in love with this dog the moment we lay eyes on him, his kind nature, the substance, the head, the movement, he has it all! We envisioned this dog to be the perfect match for our beautiful Kylie, and are on our toes with excitement to have these little gems seeing the light. Our deepest gratitude goes to Sonya Hillier and Adam Gardner, for making this mating possible and all their help and support along the way.
