When 1 photo is not enough.......
we take 564 photos, with 10 seconds in between and we glue them together into a time lapse (small video on high speed).
Then you see how beautiful it is in the sky at sunset.
daily balcony view.......
I saw this cloud when i came out and it was still dark.
It promised me something.
Enjoy till the end of course, its awesome.
AURORA BOREALIS
At central Portugal it is difficult to see.
But finally the predictions matched the reality.
A strong burst made it towards our latitudes.
Although not vissible with the naked eye, it is possible to see it after its photographed.
GO OUT NOW.
It is possible to see it till 6am tomorrow morning. IF the sky stays clear (upcoming bad weather system might come in half of the night.)

Brama at Serra da Lousã
The deer ruth is special, no matter where in the world you are. Obvious, it is more special when you can take THAT special shot. Like one with the male roaring, or a fight or both.
Difficult, unless you spend hours or know where they hide.
I am more lucky outside the brama season.
But this one was special. We hear the roar, we know he is not far and we follow the sounds. We see a female and her calf. There he is, following her. But she is not charmed of him and his ideas. So she takes off with her calf.
His roar is one from frustration, he turnes around and walks uppon us. But we never got a decent shot at him.
But this is a present towards us. Which we are happy to share.
Serra da Lousã em Imagens
Lately i drive around useless. Rivers are dry, lakes have low levels of water, forests are not allowed to pass in, the sky has nothing special. But there is one spot where i always see the foxes as i visit that spot. Todays option was; going there with 2 cameras, 2 tripods and move in from a different direction, keeping in mind the wind, light and background. Wearing even camouflage clothes...... I sat 5 minutes when i saw movements. I aimed the camera, switch to video and wanted the other camera to use for remote control (which was in the other jacket, bummmmmeeerrrr). I had so much fun of observing those 4 young foxes with their game and play. The bad view was made up with the good attitude of the foxes. Have fun when you are with family. I have a good videos now and i aim for another time with a better view........
Young fox;
i caught her while she was playing........she listen the clicks of the cam.......and she stops and watch me........then, that naughty runaway (nanananaaaa catch me if you can)
I know they are there and i always go unprepared.
I should have taken a tripod so i would not shake so much.
But then, once prepared they do not show up. (lessons learned with the dolphins).
Waking up at a river at 6.30am, still dark enough, very cold and so relaxed. Animals are waking up, herons, come, otters might pass and boars are going to their daytime area. I saw Roedeer, they barked as if they wanted to say that they know i was around. The awesome moments of beautiful days.
Daily routine.
On route for the best shots.
Today all places failed because of wrong weather predictions.
Driving 60km for nothing.
Not always good;
Sometimes, it does not work out well. The clouds do not move/colour enough. I did not put enough photos. The setting was not the best. Or i walk in the range of the lens. Most important in this case is the fun i had. The fun of being there, the view and the company of the wild boar at the end of this video.
i like to create things (except photos only)
