New works by globally-respected Portuguese urban artist Alexandre Farto (aka Vhils) are featured in the solo exhibition "Diafragma", at the Galeria Vera Cortes in Lisbon. Farto, known for his large-scale works where he chips away at the surface of walls to create amazing portraits, this time creates imagery utilizing tube lights and window blinders.

A new exhibition by Portuguese artist Alexandre Farto (aka Vhils) "Diafragma" runs at Galeria Vera Cortes through 11 January 2025.

Lisbon last weekend...Porto this weekend. Christmas lights across Portugal are illuminating. The official "turning on" ceremony in Porto is scheduled for Saturday, 30 November at 18:00. Expect a new tree!...a video-mapping show, Gospel Collective and concert by Fernando Daniel.

Christmas lights in Porto (Luzes de Natal) grow in numbers year after year. In 2023, over 91 streets, squares and zones will be lighted.

Be ready to be festive! The Christmas season officially starts in Lisbon this Saturday, 23 November at 18:30. That's when the Christmas tree in Terreiro do Paço lights up for the first time this season. The lighting is followed by a light and music show, and live performance by Áurea. For Christmas 2024, the city has installed 10,000 light structures in the streets to fill you with holiday spirit (using LED lights, of course!).

Christmas lights in Lisbon are all aglow, making for an enchanted, mesmerizing holiday ambiance to share with friends and family.

"Diaz in Lisbon" showcases her unique mixed media and analog collage style. The exhibition, in collaboration with Pjv-Art, runs at the Coletivo 284 culture space 7-24 November.
