Yamaha C220 restore project start. Wrap in good condition. Stained inside shells from humidity. Extra drilled holes. Hardware in good condition with few rust points. Cymbal and tom hardware broken.

Yesterday was an historical day! Two rare drum kits arrived, a 5 piece Yamaha Beech Absolute and a "vintage" Yamaha C220 from the first series of drums released by Yamaha at 67.

This adds Beech and another rare vintage Drum offer to recording.
No VST! Mahogany, Birch, Maple, Oak, Vintage and now Beech available for recording.

Restoring a 50 year old Yamaha drum, "second line 200's series".
YD270, not in a terrible shape, except the floor tom with huge bearing edge damage.
Half centimenter out of round, and bent hoops, easily fixable.
Chrome rust reasonable for the age.
Mahogany with inner Birch ply, diagonal seams.
Spring lugs, but silent, huge metal nuts and hardware inside.
The outer wrap is nailed, it seems from factory, so it is still in place.
