A azeitona cobrançosa, é um fruto grande, de forma ovóide e assimétrica. É uma variedade muito produtiva e regular, com boa adaptação à colheita mecânica. Gostamos imenso desta variedade, por isso representa a maior área dos nossos olivais.
É uma das variedades utilizadas na produção do nosso Azeite Virgem Extra Monte de Portugal Blend.

It's originally from Trás-os-Montes, but adapts very well to the conditions in the Alentejo.
The Cobrançosa olive is a large fruit with an ovoid, asymmetrical shape. It's a very productive and regular variety, with good adaptation to mechanical harvesting. We love this variety, which is why it represents the largest area of our olive groves.
It is one of the varieties used in the production of our Monte de Portugal Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Começamos por apanhar a azeitona, com a ajuda da máquina. A azeitona caí no pano e é imediatamente recolhida para seguir para o lagar.
O caminho entre a apanha da azeitona até ao lagar quer-se curto. para que a azeitona chegue em óptimas condições e assim poder-se extrair a frio, o nosso azeite de grande qualidade.

We're in the middle of the olive harvest and there's no time to waste.🫒
We start by picking the olives with the help of the machine. The olives fall onto the cloth and are immediately collected to be taken to the mill.
The journey between picking the olives and the mill is a short one, so that the olives arrive in optimum condition and our high-quality olive oil can be extracted cold.
