Life lately has been so much lighter. How a decision can turn your entire life around. And when you make a few in a row a big shift happens! 🙃

We’ve been working in our business, learning new things, embracing the process with more ease, having conversations with amazing people, showing what we know to others, co-creating new projects and expanding a lot! ✨

Most of all, we are enjoying life and each other! 🤗 Kissing even more and hugging even more than usual (which is already a lot) 😅 And listening and cheering each other more! 🙌

Let’s enjoy life with open arms, because each day is a gift! ✨

This is a normal day in nature with a slightly crazy family! 🙈😅😍

This is what we treasure the most: family time in Nature and to be with the Nature. Time for Adventure. Time to laugh, to talk, to dance, to play. Time to shout loud and use our voices in the most weird way. Time for our craziness, without rush or hurry. Time to change plans and lay on the floor instead of going for a long walk. Time to observ and experience the elements, the animals and the plants 🌱🐜🦐

And time doesn't go back. That’s why we have to cheeish everyday and chase our wildest dreams. That’s why we can't wait for tomorrow. And the dream doesn't have to be a paradise in a tropical land. My paradise is them. It doesn't matter the place, they are my perfect place on Earth ✨

That's why we want to keep making sure we have this family time, even if it means challenging ourselves more and more on paths we don't know. It's so worth it. And it can be hard but also so much fun! As long as it means being together, wild and free, to live this slow life that we all love so much! 🤗💖

We haven’t shared the big news of the year yet: 😊

It’s official—our little ones are now part of a learning community for homeschoolers, located on a small farm in the middle of a forest—a paradise for kids! And not just for them! 🤭 Jon fell so in love with the place that he’s now part of the project too! 😄

The kids are loving it, and Jon is doing what he loves most—getting his hands dirty with soil, growing, building, and creating new things with natural materials. This way, they still get to have one of us close by. And they’ll even have some classes with their dad too, in drawing, building, and permaculture! 🌱🥰

It’s a big change for us on many levels, but after some time trying it out, we’re more than sure we want to continue—at least as long as it makes sense for everyone. After 18 years of working together daily, this is definitely a new experience for us. And we’ll admit—it’s a fresh dynamic that we’re actually enjoying quite a lot! 🙈😅

Homeschooling can also look like this. It doesn’t have to be lessons at home with parents as teachers. Classes can be taught by tutors, at home or in communities like this one, using methods and concepts that resonate with both parents and children. As we walk this homeschooling path, we realize that what’s most interesting is having the Freedom and adapt to the needs of not just the child but the family as a whole—which can change over time.

Too cute! 🫠 Couldn’t say no this time. During Christmas time we are all more easy going or is it just me? 🫣

The eternal struggle of finding balance as parents… Between what they love and what we know isn’t ideal for them. Face painting, for example—it’s magical, they absolutely adore it, but we know their skin absorbs everything, and it’s not the healthiest choice. Still, once in a while, we give in and say yes, even if deep down we wonder if we should be stricter.

The same happens with sweets… During parties, we let them enjoy the treats, even though we’re fully aware of the harm sugar causes. This journey towards a more conscious lifestyle isn’t easy, especially in a culture built on toxic habits. We’re still crossing the bridge, caught between what society deems ‘normal’ and what we now believe to be acceptable.

It’s so tempting to close our eyes and go with the flow—sugar-filled celebrations and ‘washable’ face paints—but we try our best to stay mindful.

Depois de um tempo ausentes, repleto de aprendizagens e reflexões, estamos muito entusiasmados por partilhar esta nova fase em que estamos a entrar! 🥰

Tivemos muitas experiências que nos fizeram repensar a nossa vida e explorar novas formas de viver com mais propósito e mais liberdade para realizarmos os nossos sonhos ✨

De tanto desejarmos, o Universo voltou a mexer os cordelinhos e mostrou-nos que sim, é possível sair da roda do hamster. É possível viver e trabalhar de forma mais livre, mais leve e mais consciente e ainda assim atingir ótimos resultados - seja no conforto de casa ou no saboroso desconforto da "estrada"! 🤪✈️

Portanto, bora lá tirar aqueles sonhos da gaveta e sacudir-lhes o pó. Está na hora de manifestarmos o que é nosso! 💪

18 anos! UAU! 🥹

9 anos namorados + 9 casados.. sempre juntos, a partilharmos tudo.. UAU! 🥰

Passámos por tantas fases. Fomos equipa na escola, em casa, nas estradas Mundo fora, no trabalho e nos negócios, nos festivais e nas pistas de dança e na grande dança de sermos pais sempre presentes... agora também educadores e professores diariamente.. não sei como conciliamos tudo. Nem sempre é perfeito, mas é sem dúvida um grande feito! 💪😅

Sim, porque nem tudo são rosas, é importante dizer. Temos tido muitos altos e baixos ao longo destes anos. Mas com muito amor, vamos superando os desafios e aprendendo a respeitar a nossa individualidade, cada vez com mais consciência de que não vai ser sempre fácil, mas que temos a certeza que queremos continuar a percorrer o caminho juntos. As dificuldades fazem parte dos relacionamentos, o segredo está em saber ultrapassá-las e acima de tudo conseguir crescer com elas. Chama-se a isso evolução ✨

Somos um livro com tantas, tantas histórias! Algumas tão mirabolantes que parecem tiradas de um filme! 😊 Foram já tantas vidas numa vida só. Tantas mudanças, tantos renascimentos. Só casas, em Portugal, já vivemos em 8 diferentes! E tetos em viagem entao, foram mais de 50! 🤪

O tédio a nós realmente não nos assiste! 😂 Não fossemos nós uns eternos sonhadores, curiosos, aventureiros, sempre dispostos a mudar e a arriscar uma e outra vez, desde que seja na direção da nossa felicidade e dos nossos sonhos. E o que é certo é que já conquistámos tantos! 🙏💖🥹

🇵🇹  Viajar não é só sobre sítios perfeitos, novas aventuras, culturas e sabores, concretização de sonhos e paisagens de cortar a respiração. Viajar é, também, parar e respirar fundo e sentir o tempo a abrandar. É poder realmente contemplar as pessoas que eu amo e escolher transformar um simples acordar num momento de que me vou lembrar para sempre. Viajar é conseguir observar atentamente as cores, as formas, a luz e as sombras de um lugar. É respeitar o meu ritmo, seja para acelerar ou para andar bem devagar e, ainda assim, sentir-me em paz, sem pressa de ir nem de chegar. É poder simplesmente f**ar, com a única intenção de viver intensamente aquele tempo que eu sei que não vai voltar para trás ✨ 

E isto é liberdade 💖

It's truly being able to contemplate the people i love and choosing to turn a simple awakening into a moment I'll remember forever. Traveling is about keenly observing the colors, shapes, light, and shadows of a place. It's about respecting my own pace, whether to speed up or to move very slowly and still feel at peace, with no hurry to leave or arrive. It's simply being able to stay, with the sole intention of living intensely that time that I know won't come back ✨

🇬🇧 I am so grateful for the friends I have in my life. Friends with whom I have grown, always by my side for over 25 years, one of them for 33 years. This weekend, I finally managed to bring the four of them together for the first time since we returned from our trip. It's truly wonderful. No matter how long we are apart, nothing changes. True love crosses oceans and transcends any barriers of time and space ✨💖

And no matter the decisions I make and the risks I take, I always feel unconditionally supported. I've realized that they are such big supporters, and that undoubtedly gives me extra motivation. As I embark on a new phase of life, closing our old tourism company and embracing a new professional path that aligns more with my values and visions (news coming very soon), I once again see how much they believe in me and give me strength. How much they trust my instincts and beliefs, being the first ones to say yes to my choices. They never discourage me. The cliché of 'don't believe it when your friends tell you that you're crazy and you won't make it' doesn't apply to my life. In my world, it couldn't be any other way! But I know that unfortunately, this isn't the reality for everyone 🙄

So, if you're one of the fortunate ones like me, give a smile and thank the friends you have 😊🙏🏼

And please share with them how important they are to you on every step of the way 🫶🏼

Sou tão agradecida pelas amigas que tenho na minha vida. Amigas com quem tenho crescido, sempre ao meu lado há mais de 25 anos, uma delas já há 33 anos. Este fim de semana consegui finalmente reunir as 4 pela primeira vez depois de voltarmos da nossa viagem. É realmente maravilhoso. Não importa quanto tempo estamos separadas, nada muda. O amor verdadeiro atravessa oceanos e passa qualquer barreira de tempo e de espaço ✨

E não importa as decisões que tome e as apostas que faça, sinto-me sempre apoiada incondicionalmente. Realizei que elas são realmente as minhas maiores apoiantes e isso dá-me sem dúvida uma motivação acrescida.

Our Story

welcome to the page of our brand new hostel located in Cascais, a well-known beachtown in Lisbon nearby the sea, the city and the mountain.

there's those perfect places on earth, as you well know as a traveller. Cascais is one of them. and for us, this is the best place to stay (and live) in Lisbon. and our amazing beach house (that is going to be yours during your stay) is right in town's center, with all you might need in a 5 to 10 minute walk.

Perfect Spot story starts last year, after a inspirational trip to Indonesia, when we decided to change our lives and leave our jobs to do what we really love.
