2018 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.2 Euro6 Auto

comes already modified to pull a 5th wheel and has pulled a 29ft Rockwood very easily.

Very tidy truck and stunning colour.

So we finally made it to Bulgaria and have settled into our new home, its only been 6 weeks but christ we have worked our bums off!

There's lots to be done but thankfully we bought a renovated property with outbuildings so the work required is cosmetic and just a small building to convert into an annexe.

As we inherited a Jeep with the house purchase we have decided to sell the Ford Ranger back in the UK, will be sad to see it go god we had some great journeys in it.

If anyone wants a Ford Ranger 3.2 already converted for a 5th wheel, message me, have lots of pictures and a video to send. the truck will be back in the UK June.

Well what a year and sorry we haven't posted for a while because our plans changed!

We came back to the UK and sold the 5th wheel. Our various challenges with the rig and our long term goals drove this decision, and ultimately Bulgaria won our hearts a long time ago.

So we have come back to the UK until March before we head out on the road travelling over 2000 miles through, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania and finally into Bulgaria, however travelling alot lighter this time, THANK GOD.

No issues getting fuel due to height restrictions at petrol stations in France or getting onto camping sites because of the size of the rig.

Those dreaded travel days, anxiety attacks just moving the god dam thing I swear the truck seats still have my finger nails scratched into them!

We had a roller coaster blast but that European 🇪🇺 journey thankfully is now a closed chapter.

We will find our Bulgarian dream, a nice rural rustic homestead we can finally call HOME but there's one last journey left in us.. The Long way down to 🇧🇬 Bulgaria!

Sunny but rather windy day leaving France.

What a night, we were rocking in 40mph winds but had a great off grid park up at Olivers Wine merchants in Calais.

Some Fine Wines, a bottle of 12 year old American Oak Ballvenie for Mark in thanks for all the challenges we have over come on this trip!

The Climb to Camping Bardenas!

If you do this same route, I would stop at the Repsol garage just past the border crossing on the AP-8 at Irun because there isn't another one until long after the sea level to 700metre Climb up the A-15.....scenic my Arris!

So we have 4 days left until we move, had hoped to stay here 6 weeks but it's not a site for us sadly.

Camping Alfacs has been a lovely introduction to this part of Spain and the delights of La Rapita but for us it just doesnt tick our boxes, so Thursday we pack up and head down to Murcia and Camping Mar Menor, another sea fronted camp site.

Packup day today and move down at a slow pace to Tarragona tomorrow for 6 weeks of static heaven

Forgot to add we missed the bull run! OMG don't think I agree with that sport but it would of been amazing to see a bull run through the streets of Villafranca

Not a great start to crossing the spainish border, however we have managed to cool the truck down and have reached u guess the highest part of the upward bare knuckle rise of the AP15...!

What a quiet, sunny day to have packed up and left the South of France for the sunny delights of Spain.

Off to Pamplona for a few nights before we head on down to Tarragona. Can't wait to be by the coast and Sunshine.

Fantastic walkabout in Saint Emillion, which is about 50 minute's from where we are staying, lovely buildings and cobbled streets.

Had a spot of lunch at Le Jardin D'Amelia and did a wine cellar tour in the Maison Caves and bought a 2015 magnum of Moulin Galhaud Grand Cru.

When the winds up, no better way to spend an afternoon than cycling and stopping off for a cheeky beer to watch the Kitesurfer’s.

Put together a little compilation of our Channel Tunnel crossing, never been through it before and certainly not in our 5th wheel, but what a journey even though it was a 5.30am dark start to get the 7.24am train.

Windermere Caravan & Camping Club So here is our review... Pros: Whistling Pig - on site pub serving food, decent beer and wines. 🍺 Mobile woodfire pizza hut 🍕 Tuesdays & Wednesdays only Great on site staff, really helpful 😊 Clean facilities and laundry room with huge washing machines and dryers Great dog walks straight from the camp site and only a 20 minute walk to the village of Staveley Location, Location, Location Kendal on your door step and the village of Staveley which had a great pub, artisan bakery, cycle shop, Chippy, Butchers According to Mark, Great fishing to be had Cons: Not really suitable for a 5th wheel as they allocated us the Largest pitch not required. It was the worst pitch, no sun and covered by 2 huge trees and as it rained alot, the sound of the rain coming off the trees onto the Rockwood was shocking Electric only hardstanding pitches available so no water, grey or black Connections available, so it was tugging the 36 gallon tote to the grey and black dumping stations and a very LONG hose reel to the nearest water station (thank god for neighbours who let us run the pipe near their pitch) Exit barrier to site locked us in between 11pm - 7am, not great if you planned an early mornings fishing session at 6am Exiting from the camp site to try and get onto the busy A591, was a white knuckle roller coaster ride, the only way of getting onto the road to take us back to the M6 and onto Market Bosworth for a week, 🌞 is already shining and we will get used to the anxiety of travel days the more we travel/move 😀 👍
