We are thrilled to announce the release of a limited edition series showcasing live concerts from the iconic era of American heavy metal heroes RIOT, spanning from 1980 to 1990. This remarkable band has played a pivotal role in shaping the heavy metal landscape, contributing with timeless classics such as Fire Down Under (1981), Restless Breed (1982) and Thundersteel (1988), which are essential cornerstones of our heavy metal education and a testament to the genre's rich history.

Kicking off this highly anticipated series is the legendary live performance at the 1980 Monsters Of Rock festival in Castle Donington. This monumental event featured RIOT as the supporting act alongside renowned acts like RAINBOW, JUDAS PRIEST and SCORPIONS, marking a significant chapter in the band's early career. Fronted by the dynamic Guy Speranza, the performance captivated audiences and solidified RIOT's status as underground heavyweights on the rise.

Next in the series is the electrifying 1983 Staten Island show at the Paramount Theatre, where RIOT returned to their roots, reuniting with their hometown fans. During this phase, the charismatic Rhett Forrester took over vocal duties, following Guy Speranza's departure. Under Forrester’s leadership, the band released two influential albums: Restless Breed in 1981 and Born In America in 1983, further establishing their signature sound and expanding their fanbase.

Concluding this stellar series is the renowned live performance in Osaka in 1990, highlighting the band at the peak of their international acclaim. Featuring the powerful vocals of Tony Moore, this show serves as a powerful reminder of RIOT’s lasting influence, showcasing hits from the cult classic Thundersteel (1988) and their subsequent release, The Privilege Of Power (1990).

This limited edition vinyl series is an essential addition for all RIOT fans, preserving the electrifying energy and legacy of one of heavy metal's most revered bands. The audio included has been meticulously remastered from the best available sources, ensuring the highest quality sound. U.S. Metal aficionados know well how the great state of Ohio was prolific in excellent bands. These metal heroes from Toledo belong to that elite by their own right! The first two DAMIEN albums (Every Dog Has Its Day from 1987 and Stop This War from 1989) are undoubtedly among the best albums of the 80's, when it comes to heavy / power metal made in North America.

Stop This War includes a total of 10 original songs recorded in studio, with the song Break Out being one of the band's greatest classics, largely due to the extensive airplay that the official music video had on MTV's Headbangers Ball, being one of the most cherished videos of Damien's fan base. Edward Shimborske III writes: "Break Out, the single from Stop This War, aired on MTV's Headbangers Ball numerous times in 1989 and 1990. The impressive video featured the band performing live at Roxanne’s (in Toledo, Ohio), interspersed with footage of local bad-ass motorcycle club, the Iron Coffins, as well as a bevy of local beauties, friends, and family members. The clip helped escalate record sales, and the record earned even more stellar reviews, expanding the band’s burgeoning fanbase. Damien quickly elevated its adoration and admiration a thousand-fold in foreign markets (where the band’s style had commonly been referred to as power metal)."
