Why was Esco Studios created? 🤔 Read here 👇 A few words from the founder, Dani.
I’ve long had the idea that music studios should be available to upcoming musicians, who don’t have big budgets yet. The journey started some years ago when I was looking for studios where I could bring my laptop and record myself. I’ve always preferred to record myself rather than have an engineer there I don’t know or feel comfortable with, as creating music is a very intimate experience - like opening your diary to the world.
I could not find any spaces that fit my needs, which resulted in going to rehearsal spaces, which were not optimal in terms of acoustic treatment, nor had speakers or gear there to produce and record. The other alternative was high-end studios, which were extremely expensive and didn’t make for a viable solution for an upcoming artist in the early stages of monetising their music.
I wanted to create a space where you don’t have to pay for a studio engineer when you can record yourself. Where you are not constantly being looked down your neck or met by elitist musicians with big ego’s. A space where you can be yourself, by yourself and actually focus on creating and experimenting. Where you can bring your friends & record without the pressure to perform.
