The spotted eagle rays seem to have a preference for the murky areas of the lagoon.

I didn’t manage to take a clear photo this time, but I still like them in this mysterious scenery of murky water ✨

Oceanic species are special. They are travelers of the vast ocean, vulnerable because they take greater risks in catching prey, the same reason why they are also among the most threatened sharks species. All too often, they fall victim to commercial longliners on the high seas and fishermen’s traps

These are some of the oceanic white tip sharks we were fortunate to see this season with 🙏🏽

Unfortunately, these photos don’t capture the natural sounds, vibrations, sensations, temperature, density of the water, and all the feelings involved. 〰️
There’s so much more than what can be shown or seen.
But ultimately, it doesn’t matter where we go and what we show, what truly matters is the essence of how we experience things.

At our core, who we truly are lies far deeper than our achievements, goals, possessions, or how we show up in the social world. There is a part of us that transcends these superficial aspects, a deeper self that remains constant despite our life’s changes. This inner self is the source of our values, passions, curiosity, energy and essence, connecting us all. ♾️

I don’t have all the answers - in fact, I still have more questions than ever. But I continue to look at life and nature with complete awe and wonder.

All I know is that I’m extremely grateful to have lived the life I’ve been living, to have a family that respects my choices, and to have crossed paths with very beautiful beings.

The world is really good at making us feel it’s unrealistic to have big ass dreams or that we’re not worthy of achieving them. But thankfully, there are people we meet along the way who remind us that we set our own limits.

Most of us, indeed, are more reactive to life than actually living it - and it’s tricky to realize that. Often, comfort, security, wealth, life instructions, and other society layers mask what will truly bring us happiness. 👁️‍🗨️

I think the moment we stop comparing ourselves to others, is the moment we start appreciating the beauty in everything around us. It’s the moment we value and enjoy being ourselves, discovering new paths that fit us and make us fall in love with life.

It’s true that life has a strange rhythm of ups and downs. Sometimes, everything feels like it’s working against us, and other times, we even feel guilty for being happy when things seem too perfect to be true. Where do we find balance?
I think we have no other option than to embrace the full spectrum of emotions.. 🖤. and keep living the best way we know, for as long as we can ✨

Tail flukes are as unique as human fingerprints. 📸🆔

Each humpback whale’s tail fluke has a distinct shape, patterns of black and white, and scars that make it possible to identify individual whales from just a photo of the underside of their tail.

All the photo IDs collected during the whale season in French Polynesia, will help researchers in better understand humpback whale migration routes, population health, and social connections 🐋

If you’re lucky enough to see and take photo of a humpback whale at the surface, know that you can also submit your photo to local whale research organizations or global databases like HappyWhale.com

Whale season in French Polynesia holds a magic I’ve been hesitating to share. It has been a huge privilege to coexist with these majestic beings underwater, and part of me wants to keep it sacred, untouched by the “scrolling world.”

If you’re coming next year to experience whales here only for that “perfect” shot with them, perhaps you should consider a change in mindset. Every day on the ocean is an adventure, filled with factors beyond our control: weather, visibility, and the whales’ own choices. We let them lead the way, respecting their space and movement. If they choose another direction, we honor that choice. Every encounter is a gift, a rare and lucky experience that’s never guaranteed.

As this season comes to an end, I just want to say how grateful I am for the moments we’ve had with these whales and for the opportunity gave me to collect as many photo IDs as possible during the season.

To anyone who shares this passion, I know it’s easy to become critical of each other in our efforts to be ethical. Let’s remember: what we love should bring us together, not separate us. We can do better for these animals if we support each other along the way, encouraging more knowledge and better practices.

Thank you, for this incredible capture of a rare behind-the-scenes moment and for all your support, my friend!

Big thanks to for creating these special fins with my design, using a photo I took of a blue shark’s skin 🦈

And thank you for the capture! ✨

I don’t consider myself a professional model, but when I do model, it’s because I feel a genuine connection with the brand, materials, product, or design. I felt incredibly lucky to be invited to bring life to this beautiful jewelry, featuring pearls born in the remote waters of Fakarava in the Tuamotu Islands.
