Redesigning .ketamine brand universe drove us into entirely new dimensions of meaning.

It transfigured our understanding of mental health. The team was pushed to plunge into a different level of empathy as we got in touch with the absurd amount of struggle and strength it takes to break through one’s inner chaos. From the get-go, Klarisana asked us to not portray a mental health clinic as if it were some sort of paradisiacal spa, all embellished in peaceful colours and smooth contrasts.

Instead, we envisioned Klarisana's new visual universe to mirror the dark and labyrinthic chambers of existence that people who suffer from mental illness have to go through on a daily basis. We wanted to give shape to that chaos, yet in a way that would uphold a sense of encouragement for people to break through those cycles of pain.

Naturally, presenting a brand with bold visuals and a tone of voice that completely stand out from the competition isn't without risk, but we're confident that Klarisana's humane and emotionally charged approach to mental health will deeply resonate with all those who are going through their darkest hour.

The hummingbird personifies Klarisana’s mission — a guiding spirit that grants those who see it a path toward healing. 🐦

Although the connection between Klarisana's hummingbird and the brand's message didn't feel organic at first, the little bird still stood out as an element of great potential to be polished.

The hummingbird looms large in Klarisana’s journey and holds a spiritual significance in Native American culture we couldn’t shrug off. Instead, we took it as the guiding symbol for the thorough work that would ensue.

Going into Klarisana's rebranding, we immediately identified a lack of connection between the brand’s visual spectre and its message of empathy and customised care.

Both visually and verbally-wise, Klarisana’s message was not being channeled effectively.

Searching for that symmetry between an already established brand and an enticing visual universe that would translate the brand's outspoken and encouraging persona, whilst not undermining its credibility, was a quest of pure diligence and sensibility.

Now, it almost feels as if scientific knowledge and The Jimi Hendrix Experience had a love affair from which a beautiful baby son named Klarisana Clinics came to be. 👶🏼

New project just dropped!

As May marks Mental Health Awareness Month in America, it feels like the perfect time to reveal a project we've been working on for the last year and that is now finally ready to see the light of day.

When Klarisana - Ketamine Therapy, a leading American behavioral health clinic that utilizes ketamine-assisted psychotherapy to help patients break through mental illness and chronic pain, asked KOBU to come up with a punchier and impactful brand identity that would reflect the healing experience of ketamine therapy, we knew right away we were in for a special project.

To bring this new brand self into being, we sure gave it a lot of poignancy, contrasting colors, and a whole lot of groove.

In the end, we feel like we delivered a result that accomplishes the brand’s intentions - to make Klarisana come across as a beacon of hope to those who find themselves trapped in an endless battle with mental illness.

Taking Mental Health Awareness Month in America and Klarisana - Ketamine Therapy new brand identity launch as inspiration, we asked our team to recreate KOBU's logo based on their feelings and emotions both at the workplace and in their personal lives.

The video below gathers the metaphoric, chaotic, and quite artsy coalescence of their worldviews, experiences, and identities. All unique, all special in their own way.

Mental health is a subject we take very seriously at KOBU Agency. Creating a positive atmosphere in our workplace in which our employees feel they can give rise to their full creative potential and the ease to be themselves has always been a major priority in our organization.

There may be many ways of building success, but fostering a prosperous work environment shouldn't be a negotiable pillar. This belief certainly led us to resonate with Klarisana's message on a deeper level.

In the end, not all projects leave us with a sense of pride and the certainty that our work is contributing to a better world - but this one certainly does!
