Its mission is to advocate for democracy, peace, justice, political pluralism and rule of law in the Palestinian society. hat focus on society development in addition to raising awareness about political, social, economic, educational and environmental issues. Moreover, Wattan TV produces and broadcasts distinguished interactive programs that allow viewers’ comments, phone calls and emails. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Wattan’s goal is to play an effective role in raising the voice of the Palestinian public. It acts as a free platform for all Palestinians in addition to contributing to the enhancement of democracy and human rights culture. In order to achieve its goal, Wattan TV has identified specific objectives:
• Promoting the approach of political pluralism, democracy, rule of law and the separation of powers.
• Advocating principles of peace, social justice, non-violence and peaceful resolution in solving conflicts.
• Producing and broadcasting TV programs that raise public awareness towards social, health, environmental and education issues besides TV debates discussing various issues of public concern.
• Producing and broadcasting of TV programs to promote dialogue, free expression of opinion, role of women, as well as debates over political and legislative issue.
• Training and hosting recent graduates. During the training period, they get hands on experience and participate in the preparation and production of various programs including daily news bulletins.
