About us:

CPDS is an independent, non-profit organization, dedicated to conducting political, media, and development studies, founded in January 2008 through the initiative of a group of academics and experts in politics and culture. It is concerned with Palestine-related political, scientific, social, economic, and development research. The cent

er aims to increase the awareness of the Palestinian people, show Palestine’s real civilized face and historical role, enrich studies and research, and encourage related cultural activities and creative youth initiatives. Vision:

To enrich Palestine with scientific research and creative ideas which contribute to supporting the Palestinian people and cause, training cadres, spreading culture, and strengthening connections with other communities. Mission:
To encourage scientific research in the fields of politics, development, culture, and humanities, train qualified researchers, spread the culture of tolerance and co-existence, strengthen connections with other cultures and communities, highlight the civilized face of Palestine and Palestinians, and introduce the Palestinian cause and struggle to new audiences. Public Policy:
1- Maintaining independence and neutrality with no control from anybody whatsoever.
2- Conducting studies and providing consultations to advance social rights and national and Arab issues.
3- Sticking to scientific and objective approaches, seeking accuracy in data collection, analysis, and usage, and focusing on high-quality, serious work.
4- Cooperation, integration, and coordination with other centers and institutions practicing similar disciplines.
5- Remaining open to all ideas, developments, and intellectual, political, and social trends in the world.
6- Refusing any conditional financial or in-kind aid that negatively affects the orientations of the center and its mission and goals.
7- Adopting promising youth, social, and creative initiatives that are consistent with the policies and goals of the center. Goals:

1- To raise Palestine’s public awareness about national, political, social, and development issues.
2- To provide insights and recommendations to concerned Palestinian bodies on political and development affairs.
3- To promote freedom of opinion and expression, and to defend these rights of Palestinian citizens.
4- To upgrade the vocational and cultural awareness of journalists and media professionals.
5- To prepare and train media and political cadres to play their role in public life.
6- To contribute to the preservation of social peace and human and Palestinian rights.
7- To develop the role of Palestinian women and youth in the community.
8- To contribute to the development of Palestinian society.
9- To promote and develop dialogue between civilizations, religions, and peoples. Mechanisms and means:

1- Conducting Palestinian political, media, and development studies which serve the Palestinian cause.
2- Organizing seminars, workshops, study days, and conferences.
3- Conducting various surveys and polls targeting public opinion.
4- Receiving Palestinian, Arab, and relevant international delegations and exchanging experiences and ideas with them.
5- Issuing a specialized journal in political affairs.
6- Translating books, research, and political, cultural, and historical studies consistent with the policies of the center.
7- Organizing research, specialized events, activities, meetings, and conferences.
8- Organizing training courses to build Palestinian cadres consistent with the nature and goals of the center.
9- Organizing temporary and permanent exhibitions that serve national goals.
10- Consolidating the center's relationships with local, Arab, and international think-tanks and supporters of the center's activities.
11- Implementing projects and activities that advance the goals of the center.
12- Cooperation with governmental, civic, Palestinian, Arab, and international agencies to achieve the goals of the center.
13- Studying the Israeli society and situation.
14- Studying issues and international affairs that affect the Palestinian- and Arab-Israeli struggle.
