Our Story
Abimael Medina is a Multimedia Specialist Born & Raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He started his journey in 2015 while working towards obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Radio, TV & Film Production. He started using #SocialMedia to get some feedback on his photos to improve his craft, and later on, started working as a Photojournalist for many media outlets.
His work has been published in many newspapers in Puerto Rico and in the United States, including: El Vocero, El Nuevo Día, La Perla del Sur, Centro de Periodismo Investigativo, Mi Puerto Rico Verde, Metro, El Nuevo Herald, Seattle Globalist, among others. His main focus is on Human Interest, Environmental News and Sports. He’s also deeply into Virtual Reality Photography (VR) and other types of hybrid media.
He has also been showcased in the Art Museum of Ponce and in Old San Juan, as part of Magnum Photographer David Alan Harvey's student workshop.
On the academic side, Abimael Medina graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree on Business Administration with a Major on International Public Relations and a second Concentration on Radio, TV & Film Production. He also completed a Master’s Degree on Communications with a specialization in Advertising from Syracuse University in New York.
