To cut a long story short, on July 9, we celebrated our 12th birthday! 🥳🎂
Thank you for playing with us all this time. 💜
But if you're in for a long story, here's how it all began...

We started our journey on July 9, 2012.
We had a big dream: to create a neo-noir, Blade Runner-inspired platformer. 💪

But with big dreams come difficult lessons. The project didn't work out, and Orbital Knight found itself in a pickle. 🥒

Karol Drzymała, now our CEO, was determined to keep going. Where some might see the end, he saw an opportunity for change and growth. 🌱

In 2014, Orbital Knight released Star Horizon. The game was featured by Apple and acclaimed as one of the best-looking mobile games, marking a great success for us. 🌟

A few months later, we launched Kickerinho. Since then, we have made many games, including Castle Wreck, Crazy Kick, Force Master, Kickerinho World, and more. In 2021, our game Spire Blast, developed for Apple Arcade, became the top Apple Arcade game. 🏆

By the end of 2021, our games had been downloaded 120 million times on Android and iOS devices! 📱

In 2023, we released Castle Crumble, our latest Apple Arcade title. Once again, it was a successful year filled with many colorful updates! 🏰

And now - 2024 is undoubtedly the Year of the Dragon(s) for us. The excitement begins with the highly anticipated update for Spire Blast, introducing Floating Rivers! Then, on March 28th, our ever-hungry dragons debut on Apple Vision Pro, allowing the mysterious towers to appear anywhere around you. To top it off, our game Castle Crumble has been nominated for the "Best Polish Mobile Game" category at the Digital Dragons Awards! 🐉

And we're not stopping—stay tuned because new games and updates are coming! 😎

A squelchy scream pierced the silent night,
Shattering the calm in the tower's bright light,
Joined by a baritone laugh's mirth,
Something was slicing through the snowy earth.

"Woosh!
Ha-hey!
Ha-ha-ha!
Ho-ho-ho!"

A triumphant cheer, resounding clear,
Countering the squeaks near and dear.

All gathered at the tower's base,
Gazing toward the nearby space.

What they witnessed was wondrous, true,
A sleigh adorned with colors anew,
Racing through the snow's embrace,
Guided by a dragon's playful grace.

Laughing all the way they soar,
Their joy a melody to adore,
In a one-reindeer open sleigh's might,
Dashing through the snow, a magical sight!

The design was done,
A masterpiece of art!
In time, it'll reach the sun,
Shining over AppLandia's coded heart.

Brick by brick, they built with cheer,
Oblivious to a dragon
That watched from afar, near,
While helpers delivered blocks in a wagon.

Meanwhile, a mischievous sprite, with tricks to play,
Sought to disrupt their work that day.
It tinkered with codes, caused a whirl,
Shaking the ground, unfurling a curl.

The tower swayed, its structure strained,
Creators puzzled, efforts drained.
Yet, amidst the chaos, a hero arose,
A game creator, courage in his throes.

He ventured forth, through glitch and gale,
To solve the puzzle, never to fail.
With lines of code and innovative might,
He restored balance, setting things right.

The tower stabilized, against all odds,
As brave creators cheered, their hearts agog.
For in adversity, their bond grew strong,
Their tower stood tall, against all wrong.

With rainbow bricks, they reached the sky,
A testament to teamwork, soaring high.
In AppLandia's realm, a beacon of light,
A tower of triumph, amidst the fight!

But within these lines, a world does sway,
Ideas dance, in a colorful lay.

A fragment of time, swiftly caught.
But in these code lines, battles are fought,
Dreams take flight, ideas are sought.

What now is a brick,
Was something else before.
A day of click, click, click...
And a night of righteous snore.

What now is a color,
Was something else before.
A big argument growing smaller and smaller,
A dozen of options to choose and explore.

What now is an app,

A piece of paper.
A pen.
A folder.
A file.
A line of code.

The adventurers gathered in unison,
Amid Castle Keepers, within the salon's embrace.
The fire crackled, a joyful blaze in the fireplace,
As the Keepers danced within its flickering grace.

Carl dwelled in contemplative silence,
A stretch unusually long in its span.
Upon breaking it, his words unfolded,
Expressing his thoughts, crystal-clear and kind.

"You know what? I'm not afraid of fire.
It makes you warm and cooks your food.
Who doesn't like to eat to their heart desire?
All you need is a little bit of wood.

No, we're not afraid of fire's creatures.
Nor are we worried about the mage's babbling.
We possess enough skills and features
To be building towers and traveling.

Together, we will raise the towers
And watch their tops peak through the clouds
Prepared to encounter the mysterious creature
Witnessing its arrival, standing proud.

Take hold of bricks and mortar now,
Begin anew, under the sun's warm ray.
Together, we'll raise towers tall,
'til the star horizon of night and day."

Day 3: They always liked to play with fire... 🔥
"A tower made of bricks,
Colors of sky, blood, and sun
It looks like there are no tricks,
So let's start building and have a lot of fun!",
Jerry the adventurer yelled with excitement,
Ready to begin the creative assignment.

Suddenly, flames flickered in the distant haze,
A warning echoed, catching the team's gaze.
"The Fire Mage approaches," the Keepers spoke with concern,
"Prepare yourselves, for its arrival you'll discern."

With powers untamed, a Fire Mage appeared in the room,
A fearsome entity, cloaked in doom.

"Take heed, brave souls, and stand united strong,
Against this force, amidst the trials prolonged.
The tower you build, a fortress of might,
May shield you from the impending night.

But beware, dear travelers, heed my plea,
This creature's arrival, a sight you shan't foresee."
Mage sputtered and WOOSH! He was gone,
Leaving a pile of ash in the middle of castle salon.

Jerry's excitement shifted to wary contemplation,
As the mage's words hung in the air, a dire notation.
The team now faced a perilous plight,
A challenge looming in the approaching night.

Day 2: The Castle Keepers 🏰
Emberwing was taking great care of the egg, day and night. Adventurers were observing him and taking notes. Lots of notes. He was supposed to be the last dragon of AppLandia and nobody knew where the burning egg came from. What creature was hiding inside, protected by the fierce elements?

Among the intrigued onlookers was Carl, whose patience faded as he yearned for answers. He decided to seek clues within the ancient castles scattered across the ever-growing land. It seemed as if these structures appeared overnight, their presence multiplying with each passing day. Determined, the party gathered to venture forth.

Little did they realize the challenges that awaited them. A legion of armored and persistent creatures intercepted their path, claiming that for the yet-to-be-hatched creature to be pleased, they must build a colorful tower higher than the Coding Cliffs! The Castle Keepers spoke of an ancient truth: dragons loved structures adorned with blue, red, green, and yellow bricks - it was a source of insatiable hunger and never-ending thirst!
