DAY 84/100 of building a business💪
What changed since I started building a business?
Short answer - it’s a rollercoaster. One day you feel that you are close to crashing, the other you are on top of the world, and sometimes you are just stale with not much happening. But still, you are on a rollercoaster, so the fun and excitement don’t go away.
If you want a bit of a longer answer, here you go:
1️⃣ Active rest (yes - RESTING).
Maximizing off days is crucial for sustaining long-term performance. Imagine a lion, and how their day-to-day looks, they are either hunting or resting. There’s no middle ground. When I’m working, I’m all in, and when it’s time to rest, I’m fully in relaxation mode. If you want to work like an elite athlete, you’ve got to rest like one too. You can’t cut corners if you want to keep performing at your best. Just as much as I push myself when I’m on, I’ve got to switch off completely to recharge.
2️⃣ The longer you go, the more you realize how much you don’t know.
Every new lesson teaches me just how much I have yet to learn. It’s been an incredible journey, adapting to the reality that there’s always more out there. It’s a paradox: the more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know.
3️⃣ There’s no time.
Free time has become a luxury. I’ve started to really appreciate it more, planning it out way more than I used to. Now, whenever I get a moment to myself, it feels like a mini-vacation. I’m way more selective about how I spend this time and who I spend it with. It’s turned what used to be just regular downtime into something I really think about and value.
4️⃣ Shift in priorities - majority of life decisions now revolve around Appy.
My world has started to orbit around Appy. Travel plans? Only if they can somehow benefit Appy, perhaps through networking or exploring new markets. Overall, it’s about what I do day-to-day, too. The better I can be as a person the better Appy will be.
5️⃣ Risk tolerance.
Before, just the thought of starting a business would freeze me in my tracks. Now, overcoming that mental barrier has completely transformed my perspective on risk and reward. To reach new heights, I've learned that taking calculated risks is essential, and I now welcome them with open arms. There's no longer any fear in this regard; embracing this mentality has unlocked a world of possibilities. I've come to realize that, no matter what happens, I'll find a way through it, and every setback is simply a chance to learn and grow. On this journey, I am evolving every day.
