Our in-house Unreal Artists team constantly explores new solutions. This time we are experimenting with creating MetaHumans — virtual, 3D humans within Unreal Engine. These versatile creations can serve as extras on set and fill out virtual scenes like crowds in stadiums or pedestrians. While they can't replace real actors in the foreground, they cut production costs and minimize errors. Explore our MetaHuman creation process and witness the future of virtual production. The Virtual Production Department at VuFinder Studios is looking for a mid Unreal Artist for a full-time position on-site. Your responsibility will be to create 3D worlds that will be displayed as virtual environments on LED screens. If you want to be part of a film crew and participate in international film projects, this is an opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Creating virtual environments for film production
- Modeling and texturing in Blender/Substancje Painter
- Processing assets - checking topology, UV changes, preparing for the Unreal Engine
- Selecting existing assets from the marketplace
- Preparing shaders in Unreal Engine
- Assembling assets in Unreal Engine - creating entire photorealistic scenes
- Lighting and rendering scenes in Unreal Engine
- Communication with foreign and Polish clients and proposing appropriate solutions
- Documenting projects
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in the CG, VFX, or gaming industry as a 3D generalist, supported by a portfolio
- Very good knowledge of environments: Blender/Unreal Engine/Substance Painter/Adobe
- Knowledge of Zbrush, RizomUV, Houdini
Familiarity with VR and AR platforms
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- English at a communicative level, at least B2
- Creativity, artistic sense, basic architectural knowledge
- Willingness to search for new, more efficient solutions
- CV with Portfolio
Preferred:
- Knowledge of blueprints in Unreal Engine
- Passion for culture, art, and technology
- Independence in decision-making
- Willingness to take responsibility for decisions
