International Adam Didur Opera Singers’ Competition wydłuża termin przyjmowania zgłoszeń do 14 sierpnia. Konkursowe zmagania rozpoczną się 6 października, a zakończą koncertem laureatów 13 października w Operze Śląskiej. W tym roku pula nagród wynosi ponad 40 tys. Euro.

POLISH OPERA NOW presents ALEKSANDRA KUBAS-KRUK and NADIA SZAGDAJ: "Impression by Wisłocki"
The short film "Impression" was made to the work of the same title, composed by Leszek Wisłocki. The composer wrote this piece for soprano Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk and her husband, violist Szymon Kruk as a gift. They chose it for Polish Opera Now film and decided to work with Nadia Szagdaj, who has already recorded some music videos with the soprano singer. The idea behind the picture is to present the beauty but also the fragility of nature of the Karkonosze Mountains. It shows what we can lose if we do not reevaluate our desires.

Polish soprano Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk graduated with honors from the vocal department at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław in the singing class of professor Danuta Paziuk-Zipser. In the course of her career she has performed on the stages of such renowned operas as: Zurich Opera House, Theater Bonn, Theater an der Wien, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Polish National Opera, Opera de Toulon, Teatro Verdi in Trieste or Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, among others. Since 2012, he has been working as a singing teacher at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. In September 2019, she received a postdoctoral degree.
Nadia Szagdaj born on March 19, 1984, is a Polish writer, director and journalist. She keeps his novels in the genres of crime fiction and thrillers. She has written such novels as "To nie jest Amerykański Film", "Likwidacja" or "Instynkt". She is also the director of the series "Mroki Dolnego Śląska" and "Odkrywamy Wrocław". She has directed many short films for artists such as Sam Alty and Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk, among others. She is also the author of the documentaries "Contrast" and "Mikroklimat".

Polish soprano Magdalena Molendowska graduated with honors from S. Moniuszko Music Academy in Gdańsk and Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal in her final year. In 2008 she was a member of the Opera Studio Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
Her wide repertoire includes songs, oratorios and cantatas. In London Barbican Hall she presented songs by K. Szymanowski and A. Dvořak. Invited by Malcolm Martineau she recorded "Huit chansons polonaises" by F. Poulenc on the Poulenc vol.4 album.
Since 2011 she has been a soloist of the Polish National Opera in Warsaw, where she made her debut in “Jakob Lenz” by W. Rihm. In the 2012/13 season she returned to the Polish National Opera to perform the title role in "Halka" by S. Moniuszko. She currently cooperates with Wrołcaw Opera, Krakow Opera, Opera i Filharmonia Podlaska, Glyndebourne Festival, Opera North and Baden-Baden Festspiele.
Hanna Marasz is a graduate of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University, as well as the Postgraduate Studies in Voice Emission at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In the years 1998 - 2001 she performed as a singer in P. Z. L. P. I T. "Mazowsze". Since 2008, she has been working as an assistant director at the Wrocław Opera. She collaborates with the Polish National Opera, resuming performances of, among others Mariusz Treliński and David Pountney on the stages in W
