Here is a neat experience shared with us by Stan, the colporteur we wrote about last week.

"I set up my bike stand in the park not far from where I live. There is a beautiful lake, a playground, a restaurant, workout equipment- lots of people spend time there...

A man around 40 years of age approached me and bought the Great Controversy. He was also interested in buying a Bible, but I didn't have one with me just then, so we agreed to meet a few days later. When I saw him again to sell him the Bible, he told me about himself. Professionally, he helps people who have problems with addictions. He had been attending a different protestant church, but still felt that something was missing in his life. He was interested in the health message as he had previously found healing from a certain health problem through herbs. As we continued to have contact later on, I could see that God was showing him the Sabbath truth. He and his wife have now tried out the closest SDA congregation a few times. Please keep them in your prayers."

We are grateful for Stan's ministry and the way he reaches people with our literature in every-day places.

Meet Stan. He is one of only a few colporteurs in Poland at the moment. His way of getting our books out is by using his bike! He sets up his mobile stand in various places all over Poland- in parks, on promenades- any busy area where people are passing by. He hands out leaflets and talks to people in order to sell them books such as the Great Controversy. We will learn more about his experiences next week.

Here is a very moving mission story about the GLOW tracts which we print.

We had an order from Ireland for 100,000 Glow tracts. We always print extra copies just in case and this time it turned out, that since there were no issues during printing, that there were 15,000 extra copies. We included these with the order free of charge and sent them off.

When it was noticed on the receiving end that extra material had been sent, sister Diana Lewis reached out to us to make sure that perhaps she shouldn't pay the difference. Director of the printing company, Wiktor Kuczek, assured her that it was not necessary but wrote, "The only thing is to make sure that all of the tracts get handed out and put to good use." Diana wrote back, "You can be sure that at least one life will be saved thanks to the GLOW tracts."

Her local church got to work straight away handing out the tracts in a community service effort. They organized a soup kitchen and also handed out food packages.

A certain man came to the event who had the intention to eat his last meal, leave, and then take his own life in su***de. After his soup, before leaving, he was handed a GLOW tract about loneliness. The words in the tract moved him so deeply that he especially came back, thanked the organizers for the tract and spoke to the person who gave him the tract for a very long time. It was just the right thing to save his life this time.

We love stories like this. It motivates us when we know that the one printed paper in the right time in the right place can change the course of someone's life. That's the working of the Holy Spirit.

The SDA church in Świdnica is currently holding healthy cooking classes for a select group of about 20 interested participants. They have already held two sessions: the first about healthy breads and the second about healthy lunches.

Pastor Majewski has used this as an opportunity to make our quartely magazine Zdrowia z Wyboru (Healthy by Choice) available to the participants, and they have been happy to take their copies home.

Pastor Andrzej Majewski was key in organizing the Bible Exhibition held at the public library in Świdnica from September 4 to 14. On their website in the news section it states: "...the BIBLE EXHIBITION - Papyri, parchments, stone tablets, leather scrolls - will be presented at the Municipal Public Library in Świdnica. The story of a book that has survived the centuries.

The exhibition is an interactive way for visitors to learn about the event of the creation of the Holy Bible. Visit the Exhibition for a great history lesson."

While leading out in the organized tours, Pastor Majewski told participants all about the reformers such as Martin Luther, William Tyndale, John Wycliff and John Huss and how their passion for scripture created a Great Controversy in their own lives with the powers of their time that be. Afterwards, he offered the participants the opportunity to get their own copy of the book called "The Great Controversy". About 40 copies were eagerly accepted during the course of the exhibition.

In one of the public parks in Świdnica there is a book swap box. A certain young couple who recently finished Bible studies decided to never take a walk without a new copy of the Great Controversy to leave in the box. Whenever they see that the copy has been taken, they replace it with a new one. We also recently discovered that all our printed copies of the Great Controversy in Poland have been distributed from our warehouse. Time to start printing more in Polish!

Meet Pastor Andrzej Majewski from the SDA church in Świdnica located in southwest Poland. He has a heart for colporteur ministry and makes much of our literature available free for passers-by at the front of his church entrance.

Words of Encouragement Part 2:

Małgosia patiently and calmly began to talk to the truck driver and sure enough, as she gently asked more and more questions she discovered that the driver had a difficult family situation. First, he had a daughter who had been in a coma for a year and a half and then sadly died. His second daughter had recently become interested in the occult, was acting very unusual and their relationship was strained. His angry reactions stemmed from stress, grief, sadness and pain.

Małgosia used this as an opportunity to tell the driver about the Lord God, who also lost His son, His only son, Jesus Christ, to save all of us because He loves us so much. She brought him some the leaflets the Springs of Life prints about death and the hope of eternal life as well as shared a few books including The Great Controversy.

Małgosia is an example of someone who is looking for every opportunity to share what she has in her heart. She saw the driver past his behaviour for who he really was- a fellow human struggling like so many of us.

Words of Encouragement Part 1:

Sending out large deliveries by lorry is part of the regular process of how our printing press operates. Ordering the lorry sets a very serious deadline by which work must be completed and it always creates a bustling atmosphere for the workers at the Springs of Life.

On one of our recent orders, although the lorry was scheduled to leave in the afternoon, the driver arrived in the first morning work hours hoping to load and leave early. The printers were still loading the boxes onto the pallets and had to inform the driver that he would have to wait and leave according to schedule. This made the driver very cross. Angered, he began to curse and make a big fuss until he stormed out of the warehouse back to his truck.

Małgosia from the marketing department and the book store saw what happened. It is natural to feel intimidated by such a man with such strong emotions and reactions, but Małgosia decided that she was going to gather the courage to go talk to the lorry driver and see if there wasn't a deeper issue causing him to react so rudely. Taking a deep breath and saying a prayer, she walked out of the building towards the driver's truck.
