On October 1st (from this day, applications for new benefits can be submitted), a new program by the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) called "Active Parent" will launch.

***Types of benefits***

👶Active Parents at Work
Parents and guardians who are professionally active can apply for the "active parents at work" benefit. It will cover children from 12 to 35 months old who do not attend a nursery, preschool, children's club, and are not under the care of a day caregiver. The benefit will be 1500 PLN per month per child or 1900 PLN if the child has a valid disability certificate.

👶Active in Nursery
For children attending nursery, a children's club, or under the care of a day caregiver, the "active in nursery" benefit will apply. This support will replace the current nursery subsidy from ZUS. This is a favorable change because the current nursery subsidy is up to 400 PLN per month. The new benefit will cover costs up to 1500 PLN per month. In the case of a child with a valid disability certificate, the subsidy will be up to 1900 PLN. The benefit will cover tuition fees, excluding food costs.

👶Active at Home
The third type of benefit is "active at home." It will apply to each child in the family aged 12 to 35 months. It will replace the current family care capital but, unlike it, will also cover the first child. The benefit will be 500 PLN per month. The total amount available per child from 12 to 35 months will be 12,000 PLN.

In a given month, a parent can receive only one type of benefit from the "Active Parent" program for each child. However, it will be possible to switch from one type of support to another, for example, if the applicant's professional situation changes.

Applications will be only electronic.
After data verification (for October, such as documents submitted by the employer on the 5th, 15th, and 20th of each month), ZUS plans the first payouts between late November and early December.

There will be the finale of the Great "MALUCH" Expedition (in Poland, we affectionately call the Fiat 126 car - "Maluch," a very popular car both in the past and now) for children.

Eighty Maluchs will appear, having covered a distance of 3,553 km in eight days from Warsaw to Monte Cassino through Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia, all the way to Italy.

Today we went to the multimedia exhibition Sistine Chapel. The whole thing consists of three parts and rooms.
The first one is educational, where we can learn a lot about the exhibition, frescoes, etc.
The second one is multimedia, where we learn about the history and many details of the presented exhibition.
The third one, and here I must admit, is incredibly impressive, a multimedia visualization. Incredible. BUT... while everything written, especially in the first part, is translated into English, all audio is only in Polish... I recommend running a live translator. But just for this third part and its visualization it is worth going (there, however, everything is spoken in Polish, which is currently presented in the multimedia room)

This Monday, July 15, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, holders of the Krakow Card will have the opportunity to visit 🎨a multimedia exhibition.
The exhibition faithfully recreates the Vatican Chapel, housed in a pavilion of the exact size of the original, preserving its elements.

This multimedia exhibition was created thanks to the modern technology of Digital Art 360 and the incredible work of photographers who took 270,000 photos.

If you have unnecessary clothes at home that are still in good condition, want to free up space in your closet, and at the same time support those in need and care for the environment, MPO along with the Małopolska branch of the Polish Red Cross is running the "100% Benefits" campaign.
Simply collect the unwanted clothes, call 801 084 084, and MPO employees will collect them for free from your doorstep.
I realize that the person on the other end of the line may not speak English, but it is worth asking someone who speaks Polish to make the call on your behalf for such a noble cause.
If you decide that the clothes you want to get rid of are no longer usable, you should not request collection. According to MPO, in the case of single items, you can simply throw them into the mixed waste (black container).
However, if someone has a larger amount of damaged clothes or unusable textiles (e.g., towels, bedding, curtains), they can take them to Lamusownia at Nowohucka Street 1D. This point is open from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays from 7:30 am to 6 pm.

Today at noon, the first performance of the 37th ULICA Festival took place: Mr Mustache (full video from this permormance already uploaded on my yt channel) .
Mr Mustache is a comedic character with one main goal: to find love. He wants to be brave, but he always turns out to be awkward. He wants to be like Casanova, but all he has in common with Casanova is a red rose and a slightly vintage look. Silently and at a fast pace, he tells us his hilarious love story full of unforeseen events, funny mistakes, and awkward attempts to deal with them. Although he may succeed in winning the girl’s heart, in love, the unexpected always lurks just around the corner.

The ULICA Festival, organized by the KTO Theatre and Director Jerzy Zoń, is the flagship event of our region, recognized worldwide. Every year, it hosts over 180 artists from all over the world and attracts tens of thousands of residents and tourists.

Electricity and gas prices are rising. Here’s an explanation.

**Electricity:**
From July 1 until the end of the year, a new maximum price for electricity for households is in effect—500 PLN per MWh net, regardless of energy consumption.
Under the regulations valid until June 30, households paid 412 PLN per MWh net up to specified consumption limits. Beyond these limits, the price was 693 PLN per MWh.
These limits are:
- Households: 1,500 kWh;
- Households with a disability certificate: 1,800 kWh;
- Households with a Large Family Card: 2,000 kWh;
- Farmers: 2,000 kWh.

According to estimates from the Energy Regulatory Office, the change from July 1 from a frozen price of 412 PLN to 500 PLN per MWh will result in about 14.5 PLN more per month on the bill for a household with average electricity consumption.

Additionally, from July 1, the freeze on another item on the electricity bill—distribution charges—will be lifted.
These charges will increase from 289 to 430 PLN per MWh, which means about 23.5 PLN more per month for an average household. At the same time, the law exempts households from another item on the bill—the capacity charge, which for an average consumer is 10.64 PLN net per month. Ultimately, the bill for such an average household will increase by 27.5 PLN net per month, or over 33 PLN after adding VAT and excise tax.

**Gas:**
The total amount of the gas bill for households, in addition to the charge for the gas itself, also includes distribution service charges and subscription fees.
The subscription fee will remain frozen at its current level until December 31, 2024, and will range from 3.35 to 6.4 PLN per month depending on the customer group.

However, distribution charges will be unfrozen. In the case of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, responsible for gas distribution in most parts of Poland, the average distribution charges from July 1 will be 126.69 PLN per MWh, 67.86 PLN per MWh, and 65.23 PLN per MWh, depending on the customer tariff group, representing an increase of about 27%.

As a result, according to the Energy Regulatory Office, the average gas bill for a household customer purchasing gas from PGNiG OD, which uses PSG distribution services, will increase by about 20%.
