Chapshoro is a traditional and famous dish of Gilgit-Baltistan. The dish is made by mixing meat (usually mutton) with flour dough and cooking it over low heat.

The process of making chapshoro is a bit time-consuming, as the meat needs to be cooked slowly for a few hours until it is tender and falls off the bone. Once the meat is cooked, it is shredded into small pieces and mixed with a dough made from wheat flour, salt, and water.

The dough is then rolled out into thin sheets, which are layered on top of each other with the meat in between.

Chapshoro is a hearty and filling meal that is popular among locals and visitors alike. The dish is known for its rich flavor and is considered a specialty of the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

In addition to being a delicious meal, chapshoro also has cultural significance in the region. It is often served during special occasions such as weddings and festivals and is a symbol of hospitality and generosity in the local culture.

سید پور 4 یا 5 صدیوں پرانا ہے، ۔ سردار سلطان سارنگ خان کے بیٹے سید خان کے نام پر رکھا گیا تھا، یہ ابتدائی طور پر قدرتی ندیوں کے ساتھ ایک باغیچہ تھا۔ بعد میں، یہ راجہ مان سنگھ کے زیر اثر ہندو عبادت گاہ بن گیا اور اسے مختلف تالابوں اور چبوتروں سے مزین کیا گیا۔ 1947 کے بعد، یہ عبادت گاہ بننا بند ہو گیا لیکن اسے دوبارہ ایک سکول میں تبدیل کر دیا گیا اور، 2006 میں، کیپیٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی نے سیاحوں کی توجہ کا مرکز بنا دیا۔

Saidpur is a historically rich village, dating back 4 or 5 centuries, with a diverse religious heritage. Originally named after Said Khan, the son of Gakhar chief Sultan Sarang Khan, it was initially a garden resort with natural streams. Later, it became a place of Hindu worship under Raja Man Singh's influence and was adorned with various ponds and platforms. After 1947, it ceased to be a place of worship but was repurposed into a school and, in 2006, a tourist attraction by the Capital Development Authority. Notable structures in Saidpur include a green-domed mosque, a former Hindu temple, and a small building resembling a Sikh shrine. The village is also famous for its unglazed pottery. Its population comprises around two thousand registered voters. Perched on a hill slope is the shrine of Zinda Pir, a revered saint believed to have roamed the earth incognito, offering help to those who have lost their way. Mai Ji's grave, a woman who spent her life praying at the shrine, rests nearby. Saidpur encapsulates a unique blend of history and spirituality, drawing visitors with its cultural diversity and historical charm.

گلگت بلتستان کے باسی ہونے کے ناطے ہم سب کا ایسے گھروں میں بچپن گزرا ہوگا اور بہت سے ہمارے لوگ ہیں جو اب بھی ان خوبصورت گھروں میں رہ رہے ہوں گے۔ ان گھروں کی خاصیت یہ تھی کہ جتنے چھوٹے گھر ہوتے تھے اتنے ہی زیادہ گھر والوں میں محبت اور ایک دوسرے کے لیے خلوص ہوتا تھا۔ اور اب جتنے بڑے گھر ہوئے ہے اتنی ہی اپنوں میں دوریاں پیدا ہوگئی ہیں۔ مجھے یاد ہے یہ ہمارے چاچو کا گھر ہوتا تھا اور اس میں قریباً ۱۵ لوگ رہتے تھے۔ ہماری بھی یہاں بہت خوبصورت یادیں ہیں۔ انگھیتی کے گرد بیٹھ کر ہم نے اپنے رشتہ داروں سے بہت خوش گپیاں کی ہے اور مل کر اپنے دیسی کھانے کھائے ہیں اور ہمیشہ بیٹھ کر ایک دوسرے کو شہر اور گاؤں میں ہونے والے واقعات بتاتے ہوتے تھے۔ جب تک چاچو اس گھر میں تھے، گھر میں آنے کا دل کرتا تھا کیوں کہ بہت رونق ہوتی تھی۔ اب بڑے گھروں میں جب بھی جاؤں كذنز کو کمروں میں ڈھونڈنا پڑتا ہے۔ #seemabatool #NagarValley #travelblogger

Apricot Season in Gilgit Baltistan https://youtu.be/fC5S2Lxq7Ow گلگت بلتستان کو قُدرت نے بےپناہ خوبصورتی اور قیمتی خورد و نوش سے نوازا ہے۔ خوبانی کا پھل بھی انہی نعمات میں سے ایک ہے جسکا ذائقہ، رنگت اور قدرتی اجزاء کے امتزاج میں کوئی ثانی نہیں۔ اس پھل کی کاشت 2000 سال قبل از مسیح چین میں ہوتی تھی اور شاہرا ہ ریشم کے راستے تاجر کے ہاتھوں جنوبی ایشیا، وسطی ایشیا اور باقی علاقوں تک پہنچا اور آج پوری دنیا میں اسکی کاشت کی جاتی تھی۔ پاکستان میں اسکی کاشت شمالی علاقہ جات میں کی جاتی ہے۔ گلگت بلتستان اپنے سرد پہاڑوں اور گلیشئر کی وجہ سے خوبانی کی کاشت کے لیے بہترین سرزمین مانی جاتی ہے۔ یہاں کا سرد موسم بہترین خوبانی پیدا کرتا ہے جو کہ نہ صرف ملکی ضروریات کو پورا کرتا ہے بلکہ اسے برآمدات میں بھی ایک درجہ حاصل ہے۔ گلگت بلتستان کا تقریباً ہر گھر 15خوبانی کے درخت کا مالک ہے.اور زیادہ تر لوگ اسکے خریدو فروخت سے زر مبادلہ کما تے ہیں۔ اور اسی وجہ سے اسے خوبانی کی سرزمین کہتےہیں اسکی مختلف اقسام ہیں جن میں الماس، حبی، چتّی، گلہ(شینا زبان )خوبانی کافی مقدار میں کاشت کی جاتی ہے
