For You Readers 🎉🎁

I always believe in sharing knowledge. I try to do so as much as I could in my personal capacity.

I love reading books and so sharing them by giving friends for reading, or gift them books. I prefer giving books as gift to giving expensive watches, perfumes etc( though I don’t deny these things). But I personally prefer books. Though sometimes financial issues emerge, but try to manage that.

So now, I have purchased four copies of Harari’s new book ‘ The Nexus’. One I have kept for my own reading and three others I will be sharing with other readers so that the journey and culture of reading could be expanded and the circle of readers too be enlarged in such a society where only a small portion of people read books..

Let’s Read and make read. 📕❤️

Allegory of the Cave | Plato| And Pakistani Society

In this vidieo, I have discussed yet another topic of philosophy which is Plato’s Allegory of the cave. Plato wrote this idea in his book, The Republic. Story begins as some slavers are chained in a cave where there is shadow on their side which they consider as reality. They believe it to be as real object though that is not reality but mere a figment of imagination. One slave breaks the shackles and step out of the cave where he sees the real world. He is totally taken aback. Upon seeing this outer world, he quickly comes back in the cave to inform his other fellow slaves that it is not the reality what they are perceiving for long. It is just shadow. Reality is out of the cave. But none of the fellows believes him. They disregard him, even become aggressive to him and think to kill him as he is familiarising them with reality. Platos basically postulate the idea in the story that human love to live in shadows. They create stories, delusions and figment of imaginations im which they live, and are deeply afraid of end of those stories. If we relate this story to our society , we come to know that our society is no different. We also live in a same social setting where people are afraid of reality. People here are reluctant to fathom what reality is. They could not digest the reality as it is; hence they create building of delusions to live with. People here disregard logic, rationality and reason. Use of reason is almost non existent. People here reject critical investigation, logical experimentations and scientific innovations. We live in a society which ( like those slaves in cave) deny the reality of theory of the evolution despite the fact it is scientifically proved. 97% world scientists agree on evolutionary theory. We reject heliocentric theory which too carries scientifically and logically proved basis…Give it a watch to understand further.

Why Heatwaves are growing in Sindh? | Deforestation in Sindh

YouTube: https://youtu.be/lDrZZsMRXrA

Deforestation is not a Pakistan or Sindh issue. But it is global issue with staggering amount of adverse impacts for humans and other species. And it is growing too visible phenomena in Sindh where every year millions of tree are cut and thousands of acre of forest land are deforested. Stretching from local population to tribal chiefs, from politicians to influential industrialist and landlords. Every of them is involved in deforestation. And the result of deforestation is obviously devastating as due to it thousands of people are at a huge risk, species have undergone extinction, floods and droughts are growing common occurrence and temperatures level is rising so fast that it induces heatwaves causing thousands of casualties across the province. Also, it is being prognosticated/ predicted that within decades it will be so difficult for man to live on this earth planet. And it is all thanks to deforestation and resultant climate change.

Federalism Crisis In Pakistan| Provincial Autonomy

YouTube: https://youtu.be/9Q2dSwpXXR0

Federalism and provincial autonomy is one of the pressing issues Pakistan is faced with. Debate is still going on even now in face of 18the amendment over who should exactly be holding more power: centre or provinces?
This question is answered in the video in detail.

Right from beginning certain faction of bureaucracy, religious clergy and elite capture of nascent system undermined federalism in Pakistan. Jinnah too didn’t let any stone unturned in weakening federalism in newly created state. Jinnah opposed 1935 Act on the basis of its being more centralised. However, after 1947 he accepted the same act as interim constitution, neglecting diverse and federal sense of territories of Pakistan.
Weak constitutional framework too undermined federalism. Senate is essence of federalism. However, initial both documents envisioned unicameral lagislature. Constitution of 1973 created upper house but gave almost no powers despite the fact that senate happens to be more powerful and autonomous in federal system. American senate is, for example, more powerful than its House of Representatives.

With all these issues, it is possible to ractify and get away with this federalism crisis. As Spain, Belgium and Canada diminished the national contradictions there peacefully, as Switzerland, South Africa and Ethiopia resolved this through constitutional means, so can Pakistan. If it considers them, recognise their language and culture and give them constitutional protection.

No longer is among the most phenomenal books I have ever come across. This is what has truly made me realise so many profound things. It enlightened an asset that I have been experiencing and prevailed within me, but I was unable to name it.

Osamu Dazai wrote ‘ No Longer Human’ in 1948 in which he talks about existential crisis. He delves into being ‘human being crisis’. Through character Oba Yozo He explains a sorrowful story of a painful human. Journey from human to no longer human. Dazai embodies how humans embark on odyssey of No longer human being. One desires to get away with this ( being human) burden. Wishes to break its shackles…

Do give it a read to fathom and eulogise phenomenal effort by Dazai for expressing human mental and psyche sensitivity which ultimately results into his failure as human being.
