Makli Graveyard is a vast necropolis located in the outskirts of Thatta, Pakistan. It is considered to be one of the largest and most unique funerary sites in the world, with over one million tombs spanning a period of over 700 years from the 14th to the 19th century.

The graveyard is situated on a limestone ridge overlooking the town of Thatta and covers an area of approximately 10 square kilometers. The tombs are constructed from a variety of materials including stone, brick, and mud, and are decorated with intricate carvings and frescoes.

Makli Graveyard is a significant historical and cultural site in Pakistan, reflecting the diverse influences of the various dynasties and cultures that have ruled the region over the centuries, including the Mughals, the Arghuns, and the Tarkhans. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981 for its outstanding universal value and cultural significance.
