According to an Ipsos survey, approximately 76% of Pakistanis are willing to accept the results of the 2024 general elections, while only 7% have expressed reservations.

The interim government will only consider suspending internet connections on election day, February 8, if a specific district or province requests it due to security concerns, stated interim Interior Minister Dr Gohar Ejaz on Tuesday.

During a press conference in Islamabad alongside interim Information Minister Murtaza Solangi, Ejaz clarified that no decision has been made regarding the suspension of internet services anywhere thus far.

A day earlier, Solangi had dismissed the possibility of an internet shutdown on February 8, asserting that local administrations have the authority to decide on such measures based on the law and order situation. He emphasized that no such situation had been reported at the time.

Caretaker Balochistan Information Minister Jan Achakzai had announced on Sunday that internet services would be temporarily restricted in sensitive polling booths in the province on election day.

Named 'Rustam e Zaman The Great Gamma Crossing,' the project pays homage to national hero and world champion wrestler Gamma Pehlawan. This innovative underpass, with two levels spanning 700 meters and 1.4 kilometers, aims to ease traffic congestion.

Simultaneously constructed by the CBD team of Punjab, the underpasses will connect Barkat Market to Canal Road and Jinnah Hospital, resolving traffic issues for commuters heading to Iqbal Town. The project, designed by Nespak, is slated for completion within six months.

Over the past four decades, no politician from Peshawar has secured the position of Chief Minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The last occurrence was almost 40 years ago when Arbab Jahangir Khan Khalil held the position from 1985 to 1988. Peshawar hasn't had representation in the federal cabinet for a decade.

In the upcoming February 8 polls, few experienced politicians from Peshawar are contesting KP Assembly seats. Historically, Mardan division has produced most chief ministers. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao from Charsadda is the sole politician in the last four decades to twice hold the position of Chief Minister in the province.

RedHunt Labs, a security company, found something serious on the internet. They discovered a special code (called an authentication token) that belonged to an employee at Mercedes-Benz. This code was not kept safe and was actually on a public website called GitHub. If someone bad had found and used this code, they could have gotten into Mercedes-Benz's secret files and important information.

RedHunt Labs found this problem during a regular check in January. However, the code had been there since September of the previous year. With this special code, someone could have entered a special server that belonged to Mercedes-Benz, and this server had a lot of important and secret information. This information included plans, designs, and other important things that Mercedes-Benz uses for its cars. The server also had special keys and passwords that could have been used to cause big problems for Mercedes-Benz's computer systems.

What makes it worse is that the code also showed the keys for servers from big companies like Microsoft and Amazon. It even showed the inner workings of Mercedes-Benz's software. Luckily, no customer information was on the server. RedHunt Labs told a tech news website about this problem. The website then told Mercedes-Benz, and the company quickly fixed the issue. They took away the special code and removed it from the public website.

Mercedes-Benz said that this happened because of a mistake by one of its employees. They are looking into the problem to make sure it doesn't happen again. They also said they are taking extra steps to fix things and make sure everything is safe. So far, it's not clear if any bad people found and used the special code to harm Mercedes-Benz's business. The company is checking its records to see if anything unusual happened.
