GrayScale is a boutique film production company, based in Karachi, Pakistan, with an unparalleled reputation for making high quality, accessible, and thought provoking films. Our team comprises of a best in class work force that is young, experienced and full of energy and enthusiasm. We have created several impactful films, which have had global reach and acceptance, whilst challenging stigmas su

ch as addiction, disability, women’s rights, transgender issues and mental illness in Pakistan. From a campaigning point of view, we were recently commissioned by Deaf Reach, North America to make 20 ‘call to action’ films that followed deaf students to illustrate the work that Deaf Reach is doing to educate deaf children across Pakistan. In the past, we have produced TVC’s, documentaries and short films for several NGOs and educational institutions - some of which include Aman Foundation, Aga Khan University Hospital, CareForHealth, and AAS Trust. In addition to this, the high quality production practices we employ at GrayScale have led to numerous international collaborations with leading studios, and broadcasters, such as 20th Century Fox, HBO & National Geographic, along with several foreign agencies, such as British Council & USAID, as well as locally renowned brands, such as Sana Safinaz, HBL, ICI & State Bank of Pakistan. We provide international broadcasters and studios a wide range of production, research, clearance and licensing services from across Pakistan, South Asia & The Middle East.

Job Description:

1. Create visually stunning designs that align with the company and their clients brand guidelines and marketing strategies.

2. Develop and produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts for digital, print and video materials.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute design, creative and film projects.

4. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

5. Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on design trends to ensure designs are relevant and engaging.

6. Ensure all design materials are consistent with the company's brand identity and messaging.

7. Manage and maintain design assets and project files for easy accessibility.

8. Communicate and present design concepts and solutions to internal stakeholders and clients.

9. Work with external agencies, vendors and freelancers to ensure quality and timely delivery of design projects.

10. Continuously improve design processes and practices to optimize efficiency and quality of work.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design at a digital agency

* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

* Strong creative and conceptual skills

* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

* Excellent communication and presentation skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

* Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere is a plus.

* Candidates with good photography skills will be preferred.

Our latest film for The Aga Khan University’s Tele-ICU Project was one of our most challenging productions to date! Filmed over 3 consecutive 18 hour shifts in 3 different working hospitals - we had to navigate between babies being born and patients expiring around us. Needless to say, it was thanks to our teams determination, and the support given by our friends at AKU, that got us through.

The Aga Khan University’s Tele-ICU project was launched to address the shortage of trained healthcare workers in ICUs and HDUs at the national level during the pandemic. Since then, 21,000+ healthcare workers have been trained, and over 5,000 teleconsultations have taken place that saved the lives of many patients across Pakistan.

There is a growing mental health crisis in South Asia. A huge margin of people have no access to any kind of support.

Without proper treatment, mental health conditions can significantly worsen a person's well-being and their ability to maintain relationships, forcing them to become isolated and alone. Mental health issues can lead to alcohol and drug dependency, hospitalisation, severe depression and even su***de, among other things.
