How the Women Around Us Stand Out in their Own Way:
So occupied with the rising arguments, basic stereotypes and gender norms, we forget to acknowledge and appreciate what the women in our society have achieved and continue to achieve. Ponder upon all the women you observe and meet in your surrounding; don’t they stand out?
Think about it; a woman raising her children alongside a full-time job. A woman continuing her education while providing for her family. A woman waking up everyday, to contribute to the world despite going through numerous physical and mental hardships. A woman who is dedicated to provide for her loved ones while carrying a fervid passion to improve as an individual. Yes, cooking, cleaning and housework are considered common for women and very commonly associated with them, but ask yourself, is it mandatory for them to do so? Don’t blind yourself with the curtains the societal norms have covered your eyes with. Acknowledge these contributions, appreciate the hardwork and let the superwomen know, that they matter and that they’re doing beyond amazing!
Amidst arguments of Feminism, do not forget to be HUMAN. Encourage the women in your surrounding and appreciate their hard-work, because they work dedicatedly by will; not by obligation!

International Women's Day
We live in a time when women are constantly condemned for having loud opinions, for wanting “far too much” in a culture only willing to give them the bare minimum and expecting them to be happy with it. It is no secret that women have to struggle exponentially more to get what they want, or need for that matter. Be it a working woman or a stay-at-home mother, the challenges our society forces women to go through are relentless and of every magnitude. In a journal by Jamil Rashid, he states: “It is the consciousness of the exploitation that which makes the struggle for liberation meaningful.”
To honor this year’s International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, and the ensuing “Aurat March”, Alphabuzz will be publishing a series of interactive posts and providing information on various topics that need to be talked about more often to the best of our ability. We deem it more important than ever to advocate for female equity in this country, for it is our moral responsibility to be vocal about matters we believe in. Which is why we invite all our readers to send us their “Why I March” submissions as well as any write-ups related to the significance of Women’s Day.

HAPPY 72ND INDEPENDENCE DAY
یوں دی ہمیں آزادی کہ دنیا ہوئ حیران
اے قائدِ اعظم تیرا احسان ہے احسان
A very very Happy 73rd Independence Day from Alpha and AlphaBuzz to all of you!
It’s been 72 years since thousands of people laid down their dear lives for our country to breathe this day. It’s been more than 7 decades since our grandparents fought the most crucial battle and left everything behind to find us our own safe haven.
So This independence day, let us honour every patriot, every martyr because without them, freedom would not have existed. What they did, we can never repay. Let’s understand that no nation is perfect and it can only be made perfect by its inhabitants. Let’s pledge that if something threatens our independence, we’ll fight for it one more time! Because now it’s OUR turn to reform the country. Let’s support humanity.
This independence day, lets take a vow that we will try and give back our Pakistan everything and anything that it deserves and more in any way we can.
Here’s to making our homeland a clean, safe, and a beautiful place for generations to come!
