Internet disruption was experienced by users in various parts of Pakistan on Sunday, as the government vowed to “protect Islamabad” amid a protest call from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the capital city.

Netizens from Islamabad to Karachi reported about internet disruption, particularly mobile internet, while residents of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also faced the same issue.

India’s antitrust body has turned down a request from Apple to put a hold on an investigation report which found the company breached competition laws, allowing the case to continue, an internal order from the regulator seen by Reuters showed.

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) in August ordered a recall of investigation reports after Apple said the watchdog had disclosed commercial secrets to competitors in the case dating back to 2021, including Tinder-owner Match. These elements should have been redacted.

Islamabad’s district administration has announced that all educational institutions in the federal capital will remain closed tomorrow (Monday) amid ongoing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.

“In view of the current situation, all educational institutions in Islamabad will remain closed tomorrow,” the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad confirmed on X (formerly Twitter). He added that a notification to this effect will be issued soon.
