Is this is what our journalists have come to?
Can we go back to the times when journalists had class, grace, dignity and integrity and weren't into clout chasing like typical bloggers and influencers?
A leading journalist Buraq Shabbir who works for prestigious news platforms like BBC Urdu and Arab News can be seen requesting for a sound byte from Fahad Mustafa and gets pushed down by the actor in quite a disrespectful manner over Mehwish Hayat, because he wanted to pose with the actress. Is this what journalists are supposed to do? Begging and requesting for selfies or sound bytes and getting shoved down by known actors? Aren't journalists supposed to exude class, intellect and wisdom and show neutrality? There should be a difference between bloggers and journalists. No?
The sad part is the same journalist has appeared on Dawn News' morning show 4-5 times praising Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum endlessly even on the drama's problematic angles and then tagging the actors on her Instagram stories to get in their good books. We believe journalists shouldn't need to go this low in clout chasing. Let bloggers and influencers do it. Thoughts?

Dr Zakir Naik who is banned in India since many years due to various reasons delivered his first lecture yesterday at Governor house in Karachi and has attracted attention on social media for all the wrong reasons and for various tone deaf replies to audience member. Here a girl from Peshawar asks an intellectual yet a simple question to Dr Zakir and in response, he gave a shocking reply where he clearly gaslighted the girl and call her question contradictory. This year alone in Ramzan there had been multiple rapes in mosques in Pakistan and one even occured during Aitkaaf. A society can be religious and morally and ethically corrupt. May be it's time Dr Naik retires from giving lectures. Also, may be it's time our people start reading Holy Quran with translation on their own and stop relying on such pseudo scholars. Thoughts?

Mohsin Abbas Haider who routinely posts his naked pictures on Instagram says to Faysal Quraishi that he is old school and he has blocked several pages on his Instagram because Heeramandi has shifted online to platforms like Instagram and Tiktok. Some months ago, Mohsin also put up a status on his Facebook saying that our society is no longer a society and it is a brothel now. Thoughts?
