A significant electricity theft case has emerged in Lahore's Airline Sub-Division, implicating singer Jawad Ahmed and his wife. Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) officials allege the theft occurred at a beauty parlour owned by Ahmed’s wife, where a tampered electricity meter was discovered.

During a LESCO raid, a phase of the parlour's electricity meter was found to be inactive, suggesting tampering. Jawad Ahmed reportedly arrived at the scene, confronted officials, and allegedly attacked meter readers Asghar and Shahid.

LESCO claims Ahmed physically assaulted their staff, seized the meter, and fled the scene in his vehicle. A formal complaint has been filed at Nawab Town police station, accusing the singer of electricity theft and violence against LESCO employees.

Ahmed Faraz, LESCO’s executive engineer, later assessed the situation on-site. The investigation is ongoing.

After 15 months of devastating conflict, Isr@el and H@mas have reached a ceasefire agreement, mediators announced on Wednesday. The deal, brokered in Qatar, brings a temporary pause to the humanitarian crisis in G@za, which has left approximately 46,000 P@lestinians d@ad and displaced nearly 90% of the population since October 7.

The agreement outlines the phased release of dozens of hostages held by H@mas, alongside the release of hundreds of P@lestinian prisoners in Isr@el. It also offers a chance for hundreds of thousands of displaced G@za residents to return to what remains of their homes.

While this ceasefire brings hope for relief, G@za faces immense challenges, with its healthcare system on the brink of collapse and aid supplies still critically limited. The global community watches closely as the region navigates this pivotal moment.

In 1993, a unique incident in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park captured attention when a discarded traffic barrier became a place of worship for Hindus. The stone, phallus-shaped and resembling a Shiva Lingam—an iconic representation of Lord Shiva—was first identified by an American Hindu, Basul Parik.

According to a CNN report, the stone was initially placed in the park by a crane operator as part of a set of rocks meant for traffic management or as an entry feature. However, its shape resonated deeply with Hindu religious sentiments. For Hindus, the Shiva Lingam symbolizes creation and divine energy, making it a sacred object of reverence.

What began as an unnoticed traffic barrier soon became a focal point for worshippers and curious onlookers, highlighting the significance of cultural and religious symbolism in unexpected places.
