Women Through Film brings you the 5th edition of Women International Film Festival which will be held in March 2021, this time online. Women Through Film aims to connect women, their stories, and their causes through film by conducting a series of interactive workshop sessions with them. The overarching mission is to collect films from all across the country and abroad and at the end of the year,
hold a premiere film festival celebrating films made exclusively by young girls and women. The Women International Film Festival (WIFF) will present the opportunity for women to network, screen the films they’ve made, and appreciate the accomplishments of fellow women, while at the same time, bringing awareness by highlighting women’s multifaceted roles in the society. The Women International Film Festival is the first of its kind in Pakistan where it caters to women specifically. The films and documentaries created as a result of the workshops, screenings, and other participatory activities are accumulated and screened at our film festival, which is held on an annual basis. The film festival showcases the films made my women, about women, to highlight their social issues. It serves as a confidence boost by celebrating the filming efforts by females and will help in reconnecting them for a greater cause.
