As 2023 came to an end, I can proudly say that I haven’t skipped a single Namaz in 6 years now.

To be honest since childhood, I never prayed regularly. And for the past 20 years, everyday I used to sleep with a realization that another day passed by and I didn’t pray.
But on January 1st 2018, I asked for helped from my creator and decided that I will never skip a Namaz ever again.
And since then, I prayed while being happy and while crying. I prayed after landing a huge client and when I felt like a complete failure. I prayed when I was healthy and also in sickness. I prayed in Masjid and at home.
No matter what was going on in my life, the one thing I didn’t let go off is my Namaz.

I have decided to make an update post on this every year like Sir Wahaj Siraj does regarding Quran in every Ramzan. You are huge source of motivation for me and a lot of others.
There are basically two purposes of this post.
1) To remind myself how far I have come.
2) To motivate others that it’s never too late to start praying.
Even if a single person starts praying after reading this post, I will be able to die in peace.

Namaz only seems difficult because we have made it to be like that. Allah has given us so many conveniences which most of the people don't even know about.
So, here are some tips from my side if you want to start praying:
1) Like I mentioned, It’s never too late to start. I didn’t pray regularly for the first 24 years of my life.
2) Start by praying just Farz namaz. Because that is the only namaz you will be questioned for.
3) Start by praying just 1-2 namaz a day and work your way up. Pray the ones which are easiest for you. Praying 1 is better than 0.
4) Start by praying at home if you don’t feel like gong to Masjid. Your primary goal is to just pray.
5) Life is busy and you will miss prayers. Just pray Qaza if you do.
6) If you are sick, pray sitting down or even laying down in your bed.
7) If you are injured or sick and doing Wuzu is difficult, do Tayammum (Google on how to do it)
8) If you are traveling, pray Qasr Namaz (You just have to pray 2 Rakats for each namaz)
9) If you have a schedule which makes it impossible to pray a certain Namaz, you can pray Zuhrain (Praying Zuhr and Asar together) and Magribain (Praying Magrib and Isha together)
10) I'm repeating this again. If you miss a Namaz, pray Qaza. I'm not proud to say this but I pray half of my Namazaen as Qaza and most of them at home instead of Masjid.
11) But like every other person in world, I'm also not perfect. And I constantly try to work on these.
12) Make Namaz a non-negotiable in your life. The one thing you will not compromise on and then see how Allah fills your heart with content and happiness.

My goal for this year is to read Quran everyday. I tried it in 2023 but got off track in a couple of months 😭
I hope you will find this to be helpful. I will now update you in 2025 regarding both of these 😊
